Flying Solo

Day 1 of Operation Solo: Mission accomplished!

And thus concludes my first day of looking after Busby on my lonesome! It’s been a successful day; she’s slept quite a lot, eaten her fill and gone through a number of nappies. We’ve had a lovely time looking at the woodland creatures on her gym (she especially enjoys jingly owl!), walking around the house doing jobs (this sends her to sleep), and I’ve managed to get through a fair amount of War Horse (which incidentally is a great book). Once again her limbs are all intact, I haven’t managed to misplace her and she seems happy. I even managed to get changed into something that vaguely resembles clothes, unload the dishwasher and have some lunch! All in all, I think I pretty much nailed it.
I’m off to have a well-deserved bath… Let’s hope tomorrow is as straightforward!

Ahhh well done! I remember that first day well! And the first day I hadn’t cried! They really should make badges for us mamas! Lovely photo of you both! xx

Thank you 🙂 Perhaps I’ll create my own reward chart for the fridge…adding gold stars when I successfully overcome a parenthood moment? 😛 xx

Well done! The thought of that first day alone can be daunting but it sounds like it was pretty fab in the end :0)

Thank you! I have to admit I was a little terrified on Sunday at the prospect of it all, but it was lovely 🙂 xx
