Yesterday I attended a fabulous Blogger Meet in Brighton hosted by the very lovely Laura from Lola and Behold. Laura did an amazing job organising this event, and it was so wonderful to meet other bloggers in the area – including Chelle, a fellow Mummy blogger (one of her many talents!) who I have tweeted with for a few months. Not only was it lovely to chat to bloggers who share the same views and #firstworldbloggerproblems (not opening a product until you’ve taken a photo in the correct light, lying in the bath thinking up your next blog post, walking along thinking up your next blog post… yes we are all lost in a blogging daydream!), but it was nice to have a break and a few hours away from my beautiful teething Busby.
The Meet began with a demonstration from two lovely Lush ladies: they talked through their Catastrophe face mask, and showed us how it was made… in front of our very eyes! Yum! We then got given a free sample of the freshly made mask to take home with us to try. I can’t wait, and will no doubt review once sampled.
We were then handed us our goody bags, and oh my! What a fantastic goody bag we received! Filled to the brim with beauty products with some chocolate thrown in for good measure. As well as our goody bags we received a Birch Box. This was the first time I’d heard about Birch Boxes; they’re so cute and beautifully presented! I’ll be reviewing some of the lovely products we received in the coming weeks, but for now here is a selection of my favourite bits and bobs.

After a raffle (I won a second Birch Box) we headed to My Salon Looks. We were handed macaroons and bucksfizz on arrival, (living the dream) and then shown two treatments: Shu Uemura and Tissue Highlights. The whole place smelt gorgeous, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful; answering everyone’s questions and generally being fabulous. Before we left we were all handed either a hairdryer or a pair of straighteners – I chose a hairdryer as my Superdrug one is coming to the end of its life. A review will be appearing on the blog in the next few weeks. We also all received £15 off a haircut, and I will definitely be returning!

We then ended up at the Bodyshop to try out some of their yummy products. I fell in love with their new Brazil nut range, and will be going back during the week to buy some. Delicious!
I had such a wonderful time at the Brighton Blogger Meet, so thank you again Laura for all of your amazing hard work! Please do check Laura’s blog out here. Oh, and I’m now totally psyched for BritMums Live because Bloggers rock! Blogging is definitely one of the best things I ever decided to do – I love it.
Make, Do and Push! has been shortlisted for a BritMums BiB (Brilliance in Blogging) Award in the Fresh Voice category, but we need your votes to make it onto the finalist list. If you love reading MD&P!, please vote by clicking on the badge below. Thank you so much in advance!
