Golly, I love chocolate! Who doesn’t really? I try to limit the amount of chocolate we have in our household as it seems to disappear pretty quickly… But this weekend I thought we deserved a treat! Nick has his big final exam before he becomes a “real Physicist” in two weeks, so next weekend will be spent revising, and he’s been working hard the last few weeks. Plus he was an absolute godsend looking after Busby when I had my ear infection. So on Saturday, I declared that we (mostly he) deserved a treat, and we decided to make the most of this gorgeous weather and have a BBQ once Busby had gone to bed!
We headed off on the lovely walk to Tesco that morning, in the glorious sunshine, along the river.
After picking out all of our meaty BBQ goodies, we headed to the chocolate aisle to check out the Cadbury’s bitesize packs.
There was quite a lot of choice, but I knew what I was looking for!
TWIRLS! I’m a bit obsessed with Twirls; I really craved them towards the end of my pregnancy (I kept telling myself it was for the iron!), so knew we had to get some of those.
I was also very happy to see that Cadbury’s have brought back their chocolate-covered pretzels! These are AMAZING! They first released them about 10 years ago, and they suddenly disappeared about 6 months later… Salty, chocolately, crunchy goodness… Are you salivating yet? Yes? Well, run out and buy some now (ok, but finish reading this post first!). Nick picked out some tasty chocolate covered raisins too. You can see Cadbury’s full range of goodies here.
Once Busby had fallen asleep on Saturday evening the BBQ ensued! We sat out in the garden with our beer for as long as the evening allowed, and then headed on inside to nosh on some tasty burgers, asparagus and peppers.
And our entertainment? We chatted; it was lovely! We rarely get time to sit down together and just talk at the moment, because by the time Nick gets home from work we have to sort out dinner and Busby’s bedtime routine, and then once Busby’s in bed, it’s time for me to hop in the bath, and then it’s time to sleep.
So we caught up; chatted about our impending wedding, possible investment in shares (Wow. Riveting stuff!), and our plans for the next few weeks. Wonderful!
