(I) Do // How a Birch Box inspired the theme for our wedding

I received a Birch Box at the Brighton Blogger Meet back in April. I’d never heard of Birch Boxes before, but I’m a sucker for pretty packaging so fell in love instantly. If you don’t know what a Birch Box is, it’s a subscription box that appears on your doorstep every month for £10 (plus p&p) full of fabulous beauty goodies. Amazing. You can find out more on the Birch Box website.

Anyway, in my box I received a gorgeous La Société Parisienne de Savons soap (as well as many other beautiful, wonderfully smelling objects), but the packaging on the soap really caught my eye, and got me thinking about our impending wedding. The favoured reception venue for our wedding day is art-deco-esk, with a blue and white theme.

I found myself inspired by the art-deco packaging; the shades of yellow, the font and the beautiful roses that adorn the box. Yellow would go so well with the venue, and I’m a bit obsessed with yellow at the moment anyway! Blue, yellow and white are very vintage-y and Brightonian… And thus our Vintage Brighton theme was born! Isn’t it amazing how inspiration can be found in the most unlikely of places?
