Inspired, Excited and Heavily Caffeinated: BritMums Live 2013
I’ll admit it; I’m surprised. I went to BritMums Live expecting the mighty Allsopp to be my conference highlight, but came away genuinely inspired by Katie Piper. Wow. That girl is amazing. If you don’t know her story, well, it’s not a nice one in the slightest (you can read Katie’s story on her charity’s website), but it really puts life into perspective. She is proof that you can turn your life around, and turn such a horrific experience into a positive if you put your mind to it. The above quote really struck a chord. I’m tired of feeling restrained in life; I’m not reaching my full potential. I’ve got so much creativity stored up inside me waiting to be set free. I’m going to make my life, and our life as a family, outstanding.
I’ve come away from BritMums Live motivated, inspired and buzzing. And that’s not just from all the tea I’ve consumed over the past 30 hour period! This excitement and enthusiasm isn’t just about my blog, although it will be a huge contributing factor to what I’m about to say:
I’m going to write my book.
I’ve been talking about it since the beginning of the year as a concept, but after an amazing session with Luigi Bonomi (that man is just brilliant) I’m going to put my covering letter, proposal and structure together and send it to him. Could this be the start of a new, and much more appropriate, career for me? I jolly well hope so.
More about BritMums Live to follow – I just wanted to share this with you as I’m feeling so passionate about this. I’ve got to stop making excuses and get on with it, as I know it’s a fabulous concept that you’re all going to love!
I’m getting my craft on today, so stay tuned tomorrow for a new Make, Do and Push! Step-by-step tutorial.
Have a great Sunday!
