Nail Varnish vs Baby: Round 4
If you read Make, Do and Push! regularly you will know that I love painting my nails; it helps me maintain a sense of self. However, finding a nail varnish that actually stays on for more than a couple of hours with a baby is tricky! What with all of the sticky nappy tabs, overly frequent hand-washing, and general excessive hand usage. So I have been putting various nail polishes to the test to see who comes out on top: this is Nail Varnish vs Baby.
I received a bottle of Helen É Nail Power in my Brighton Blogger Meet Goody Bag. I was quite excited to see how this polish would fare against the trials of Motherhood, as it claims to be “chip resistant”. So, how did it do?
I received this beautiful teal shade called “Minted”. I love teal nail polish, so I was over the moon to have received this in my goody bag!
The polish went on very smoothly, and dried within about 2 minutes. I applied two coats, and they dried within 5 minutes! Impressive!

What a beautiful colour! Fabulously shiny too.
Nail varnish vs baby?
The polish lasted two days before chipping. Luckily the chipping is only at the top of the nail, so it’s not hugely noticeable – but still not very long lasting.
It’s a beautiful colour and dries super quickly! It’s just a shame it didn’t last longer. I would definitely try more in this range though, as the quick dry formula is fantastic for a quick turnaround colour injection into any outfit (or just on a rainy day)!
The Helen É Nail Power Varnish retails at £8 for a 8ml bottle, and is available to buy on the Helen É website.
