Welcome to week 4 (!! How is week 4 already??) of The Week That Was: Instagrammed. Thank you to all 12 of you who linked up last week – the linky is slowly growing – I’m so excited by this!!
I hope you all manage to link up again, and that we have some more lovely new bloggers this week. I love reading everyone’s blogs – new and old – so please do come and say hi!
You can find the rules here.
For those of you joining up for the first time – this usually goes Sunday-Saturday. However, this week I’m only going up to Friday as I have been busy drinking bubbles and dancing like a loon this weekend at a wedding, so expect a slightly longer post from me next week!
Blog post: The Week That Was: Instagrammed #3
On Sunday we had lunch at “possible ceremony venue number three”. Lunch was good, and Busby was very well behaved as Nick and I ate. The venue was AMAZING, but far too expensive for what we can afford. A lottery win would be very handy at the moment!

On Monday Busby and I met my friend Kim for lunch at Strada. I hadn’t seen Kim for about five months, so we had a good catch up and some very tasty food! We then had a stroll around Brighton and a long chat.
Before we went for lunch I emailed the fantastic events manager at our decided ceremony venue to confirm our booking. It’s so real now!
When we got home Busby kept trying to move (I won’t call it crawling, as she hasn’t quite mastered crawling yet) over to our wine rack – as you can see she’s a girl after my own heart!
We then found out that Prince George had been born; better start preparing Busby for Princessdom now.

On Tuesday morning I phoned the Registrar and booked our ceremony with them! So, the natural thing to do on Tuesday afternoon was to head to Paperchase to buy some exciting stationery to organise all of our wedding invoices etc. The staff in Paperchase now recognise me… I don’t know whether this is a good thing or not?
Busby was in a foul mood all day, and had been up since 4am…! But I did receive some lovely post from my friend Katie (see postcard below), which made me smile.

I spent Wednesday morning tidying the house and preparing everything for Busby as Nick’s parents came to look after her in the afternoon, whilst I headed to Brighton!
I had serious separation anxiety as soon as I left the house – it was horrible, but I kept strong and didn’t cry! I plugged myself into music on the bus, which was a treat, and headed straight for Beyond Retro. I honestly can’t believe I’ve never been in there before – it was amazing!!!
I loved my outfit on Wednesday – as you can see in the selfie below. I felt yummy again!
After a spot of shopping and fabric buying for our wedding bunting, I headed to My Salon Looks to have my haircut. The lovely Lauren did a fantastic job, and hopefully my bob will last a bit longer this time!
Once I got home and smothered Busby in kisses we had a BBQ and catch up with Nick’s parents who are down from Yorkshire at the moment.

Busby and I were supposed to go to the launch of the new HomeSense store in Brighton, unfortunately, she’s not been feeling (or sleeping) massively well this past week and I decided it would be best if I just let her sleep on me, so we stayed home.
We did, however, make it to swimming in the afternoon. She’s doing so well now; I’m ridiculously proud of her!

We had to wait in all morning for the delivery of Busby’s new cage… I mean playpen. I have put off buying one of these for ages, but it’s got to the point where I have to take her to the toilet with me during the day, so the playpen is a necessary evil. She pulled herself up straight away in it – I think we have a hit!
We then wandered off into town to get some baby essentials for this weekend, as my Mutti is looking after Busby whilst we’re away.
What have you been up to this week?
