Breeze up to the South Downs on a Breeze Bus
One of the things I love most about living just outside of Brighton is having the sea on one side and the gorgeous countryside on the other. I also love the convenience of public transport down here; there’s a bus to take you everywhere and anywhere, which is fantastic for me as I don’t drive.
This summer (until 30th September 2013)the South Downs National Park Authority are offering half price tickets on their Breeze Buses (in association with Brighton and Hove City Council and Brighton and Hove Buses) to locations within the National Park area, such as Devils Dyke, Ditchling Beacon and Stanmer Park.
These are all wonderful places to take your kids for the day without having to drive! Just think – a sumptuous picnic (and perhaps a cheeky mini bottle of something fizzy for you), a ball, a frisbee and lots of fresh air! Fingers crossed for good weather and you’ve got yourselves the perfect family day out – all without the stress of driving.
How can you get your hands on this half price offer? All you have to do is download a voucher, print it off and show it to your bus driver. You can find the voucher and full terms and conditions on the National Park website.
Oh, and the best thing about the Breeze Buses?
Some of them are open top… but don’t forget to apply the sun cream before you get on the bus; I ended up looking like a tomato last year!
