Welcome to week 5 of The Week That Was: Instagrammed. Have you had a lovely week? Thank you to all 13 of you who linked up last week – the linky has grown again! Woop!
I hope you all manage to link up this week, and that we have some more lovely new bloggers again. I love reading everyone’s blogs – new and old – so please do come and say hi and spread the blog love around!
Before we start, you can find the rules here.
Last week this post went Sunday-Friday as we were at a wedding on Saturday, and therefore internet-less, so this week I’ll be writing about Saturday-Saturday.

We left Busby with my Mutti on Saturday and headed up to Cambridge for a wedding. It was the first time we’d stayed in a hotel since our engagement, and it was amazing to sleep for a whole night in a ridiculously comfortable bed, and have a lie in!?! The wedding was gorgeous too!

On Sunday, after our lie in, we had a yummy breakfast in the hotel with a lovely view over the green. We then headed back to Sussex, as both of us were missing Busby A LOT!! It was wonderful to be reunited with her.
Blog post: 24 hours sans bébé
Busby attended her first induction at nursery on Monday and, despite being very tired, she loved it. She has two more induction sessions and then she starts nursery for real. There will be tears. Mostly from me.
Blog post: What’s in your changing bag? Angela from There and back again… a Mother’s tale
On Monday I awoke with a trapped nerve in my neck, but powered on through the day. (As we all do as parents!) However, by Tuesday I needed a break from carrying my 17+lb baby around, so Nick’s parents kindly took her for the afternoon. I snuggled up on the sofa with Bridesmaids and cheesy beans on toast, and made Busby some paper bunting for her room.

I was feeling infinitely better on Wednesday so met my Mutti in Brighton for lunch and a spot of shopping! Busby and I were thoroughly spoilt.
Busby also started crawling, which is amazing!!

The first day of August… That means the countdown to my birthday has begun!!!
Thursday was super hot in Lewes, so we spent the day at home as our house is very cool. Busby practised her crawling and I got through three loads of washing. Not the most exciting of days, but a satisfying one nonetheless!

Nick’s parents took Busby for a walk on Friday morning so I could get some things sorted; I finished the mini flags for our Save the Date photo shoot and painted my nails in our wedding theme colours.
We then went for lunch in Lewes, and spent the afternoon posing for our Save the Date. Nick’s parents stayed for dinner and fizz, and I got to work editing our picture. It looks amazing!
I also put a shout out on Social Media – if anyone would like to take part in my weekly “What’s in your changing bag?” feature then I’m looking for some lovely parents to star in September and October. Please send me an email if you’re interested and I’ll forward you the details.
There was a craft market on in Lewes on Saturday, so I headed down as the lovely Becky from Magnificent Stanley was there selling her wares. I also bumped into Clara from Big Tree, Little Moose and bought Busby a fabulous ball!
We then headed to a friend’s for a BBQ and housewarming, and caught up with some friends we haven’t seen for a while. Afterwards, Busby had a quick swing for the first time ever and loved it!
Oh, and I bought a lottery ticket… fingers crossed!
In July I took part in the #fmsphotoaday: July challenge on Instagram, where Fat Mum Slim gave us a list of words and we had to take a photo using that word as a theme every day. I’ve decided not to participate in August, as I have a feeling it’s going to be a busy month!
