The Week That Was: Instagrammed #14

Hello! Hello! Welcome back to The Week That Was: Instagrammed!

Have you all had a fabulous week?

Thank you to all of you who linked up last week; I hope you all manage to link up again!

The rules are simple: link up a photo post from the week, Instagrammed or not. You can use the same format as below, or you can do your own thing. You can even link up photo posts about one day or one event – they don’t have to be about the whole week.

My week…

Well, suffice to say that this week was infinitely better than last! I started work again (boo), and Busby and I had some lovely together time too. As did Nick and I!

Sunday
Blog post: The Week That Was: Instagrammed #13
We were all feeling a bit better on Sunday and in need of some fresh air, so we pootled off to Sheffield Park. We had a fab time wandering around at our own pace.

Monday
Blog post: Baby Bopper
I was feeling almost back to normal on Monday, but declined meeting up with the ladies and babies from our postnatal group as I didn’t want to pass anything on (just in case)! Busby and I headed into Brighton as I realised she needed some further essentials, and I also bought myself a gorgeous lanyard from Cath Kidston for my work pass.

Tuesday
Blog post: What’s in your changing bag? featuring Kate from Two Beans and a Bump
Tuesday was my first day back at work! Eek! Thankfully it went well; I was greeted with a welcoming KitKat and got to have lunch with Nick. I did miss Busby terribly though, but managed to get home in time for a cuddle before she went to sleep.

Nick and I then ordered a takeaway; the first we’ve had since Busby has been on the planet, and gorged ourselves with curry whilst watching GBBO!

Wednesday
Blog post: Sheffield Park in Autumn
Another 10 hours at work for me on Wednesday! I survived though… just about!

Thursday
No work today! Well, except for some freelance shizzle.

Busby and I had baby swimming, which was carnage this week as our class doubled in size… This resulted in both Busby and Herb crying for a lot of the lesson as it was far too busy.

Nick and I went out for dinner as his parents have been down, so we headed to our favourite (and local) pub The Pelham Arms in Lewes for their Burgerfest.

Best. Burger. Ever.

We got stuck in with our hands; licking our fingers and smiling with absolute glee… Sexy. The couple next to us were obviously on a first(ish) date, and kept looking at us disapprovingly whilst they ate theirs delicately with a knife and fork! Nick has seen me give birth, the air of mystery is well and truly out of the window!

Friday
Blog post: On the outside
The lovely people at Chobani sent me a care package as I missed their Blogger dinner last week because I was too ill, so we now have A LOT of yoghurt in the fridge!!

Busby and I tried out Monkey Music for the first time and LOVED it! It’s going to become our new Friday activity.

Saturday
Blog post: Good grief! Maternity leave is over?
Nick and I headed into Brighton early on Saturday morning as he needed a whole new wardrobe (he hasn’t been clothes shopping for a year! Seriously!). I bought some more nail varnish to fuel my addiction and some SIZE 12 JEANS!! I haven’t been able to fit into size 12 jeans for 8 years!! There’s a plus side to a D&V bug it seems…

Nick then made us all (his parents, Busby and I) homemade pizzas in the early evening. Busby got stuck in with her first ever pizza; it was delicious!

I’m really looking forward to next week. I feel a lot more positive about everything now I’ve completed my first week back, and can’t wait for Wednesday evening once I’ve finished my week in the office and can look forward to the five days ahead. I could, however, really do with Bernard’s Watch as I’ve got lots of posts I need to write!

So glad you’re feeling better. I love a good burger. You just can’t beat proper burger and chips. Mmmmm. Must try homemade pizza with BB. Never thought of that but I think he’ll love it.

Haha most definitely! They were both immaculately dressed, eating with a knife and fork, and there was Nick and I, tucking in with our hands, not fussed that the burger goodness was everywhere 😛 xx
