I’ve got to admit that I’m pretty excited for 2014 to start. It’s going to be a good year. I can feel it already.
2014 is going to be the year of getting settled.
2014 is going to be the year of very positive change.
2014 is going to be the year of focusing on what’s important in life.
Well, firstly we’re getting married. Woop! We decided something quite exciting regarding the wedding over Christmas and I’m feeling so much better about it all.
There is something new (and fairly terrifying) on the career horizon. I can’t share that with you all quite yet, but let’s just say I’m so happy!!
We’ve got one year of parenting under our belts, and we’re feeling a bit more relaxed about it all now. I’m not saying we know what we’re doing (I’m not sure you ever do?) but we definitely feel like we’ve succeeded in the first year of Busby’s life; she’s mostly happy, on the whole healthy (barring Nursery germs) and is very silly! What more could we ask for?
We’ll be trying for Baby #2 in the latter part of this year! I cannot wait (you all know how broody I am…) But less mention of our bedroom antics the better, for the sake of Busby’s grandparents!
We’ll hopefully be buying our first family home together towards the end of 2014. Both of us are completely fed up with renting now and can’t wait to get our DIY on. I might go all Kirstie Allsopp and knock down a few walls… Which I’ll blog about. Of course.
I’m going to be giving Make, Do and Push! a bit of a revamp in the coming months; I have some ideas in mind; I feel I need to shake things up a bit with a few less reviews and sponsored posts, and a bit more “us”. I’ve asked Nick to take over some of the baking posts as I don’t have time at the moment and he loves being in the kitchen, so he was happy to oblige.
That just leaves me to thank you all for reading Make, Do and Push! in 2013; it means so much to me that you continue to come back for more on a daily/weekly/monthly basis! THANK YOU! I’m ending 2013 on a blogging high, having reached #268 in the Tots100 chart (my best score yet!) and I couldn’t have done it without you, my fabulous readers. Thank you so much. I’m chuffed!
Wishing you all a wonderful New Years Eve (Nick and I will be on the champers and baked camembert later!) and a very Happy New Year!
Lots of love
