The Week That Was: Instagrammed #24

Howdy! Welcome back to The Week That Was: Instagrammed!

Have you all had a fab week?

Thank you to all of you who linked up last week; I hope you all manage to link up again!

The rules are simple: link up a photo post from the week, Instagrammed or not. You can use the same format as below, or you can do your own thing. You can even link up photo posts about one day or one event – they don’t have to be about the whole week.

My week…
This week has been rather tough; I finally went to the doctor about feeling sad and was diagnosed with PND. The support from you guys has been amazing – thank you so much for all the love.

I started to force myself to feel Christmassy this week; we bought a small, but perfectly formed tree and decorated it. It looks beautiful and is making our (normally cold) house feel rather cosy.

Causing havoc (Thursday) // 6. Cuddles with Daddy (Friday) // 7. “GAMMON!” (Friday) // 8. Beautiful Christmas lights (Saturday) // 9. Christmas (Saturday)

Tuesday: What’s in your changing bag? featuring Leoni from Cakes, Kids and other ramblings
Wednesday: Missing: One Spark

I’m really looking forward to next week; a postnatal group Christmas lunch, two days off from work and Parenthood (consisting of an eyebrow wax, a free massage and hopefully a haircut), Christmas drinks with some lovely Lewes mums, Busby’s first birthday on Friday, and then Nick and I are going out, just the two of us (!!!) for the first time in AGES on Saturday… Hopefully it will be a week of regaining “me”.

I hope you start to feel better asap, I have friends who have struggled with pnd too, and all the whizzing around in your head emotions that come with it. You know where I am if you need a rant/moan. Can’t wait to hear about B’s first birthday, so exciting!

I love how magical the Clock Tower looks at Christmas, and those washi tapes look like so much fun ๐Ÿ™‚ So sorry to hear you’re still feeling sad- but it must be a relief that you now know what it is and it’s no longer mystery sadness, but instead something totally understandable which happens to a lot of lovely Mums. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and B has an excellent first birthday- eep! xxx

I’m sorry you have been struggling. PND is not easy, having been there myself, but hopefully you can get some help, and start to feel more yourself. I think motherhood brings so many new things, and challenges, that it can be hard to see sometimes that we also need to make sure we are doing ok, and it’s not easy, if that makes sense. I found CBT worked well for me, and I had a very supportive GP and health visitor who really wanted to help me and work with me. Are you getting support from your GP etc? HUGS! Ps your tree looks lovely!

Sorry to hear about the PND, but I’m glad you are being treated and going to get counselling. Don’t feel guilty for being sad, it’s not your fault for feeling down. Hope things get better soon. xx

I hope you get all the support you need with your PND. My doctors offered counselling and it really helped!

Love the instagramming week so I’ll be posting one soon. I’ll remember to link! ๐Ÿ˜€
