New Beginnings

For three weeks I have been waiting.

Sitting on a secret that I’ve wanted to share with everyone.

Counting down.

Waiting until I could write a very important letter.

A life changing letter.

A letter that would turn my world upside down. But in the most positive of ways.

And then waiting for the day.

The day I could present this letter to someone. Explain my reasons behind the letter.

Yesterday was that day. Yesterday I handed in my notice.

From the beginning of February I will no longer work for the NHS. I will work for me.

I will be a Freelance Writer, Social Media Manager and Professional Blogger.

I will be working in a role that I’ve always dreamt about. And my blog helped me get there. My blog and a wonderful, kind friend who I met through my blog.

After BritMums Live last year I set myself a goal; I said that, by the time I signed my next child’s birth certificate, I would be able to give my occupation as “Writer”.

It’s happened.

I may not have written my book yet. I may not be pregnant with baby number 2 yet (god forbid as I’m now the proud owner of a beautiful, slim fitting wedding dress which I have to wear in September). But I am a Writer.

And oh my, I am excited to see what the future has in store!

You’re my idol! Good for you – it is a big brave step to start up on your own but I can see how driven you are and you won’t have taken this step lightly (unlike when I did it way before kids!). I hope I can meet you at Britmums this year and you can help me to set some similar goals! Have a fantastic 2014, I can tell you will 🙂 and thanks again for your book recommendation – it’s up on the blog today. I really DO need to read that book!! lots of love xxxx
