(I) Do // Wedding Day Gifts for your Groom

Whilst perusing Pinterest a few weeks ago I came across the image below.

I thought it was such a lovely idea, and although Nick doesn’t wear a watch, it got me thinking about gifts I could give him on our wedding day that he would be able to keep forever.

I love the idea of a pocket watch. I wanted to buy Nick an antique one for our engagement but never got round to it as pregnancy, and consequently Busby, got in the way. I love both of these from The Watch Hut.

The colours in the one on the left almost match our colour scheme, and intricacy of the cogs and dials in the one on the right are beautiful; it’s wonderful that you can see everything whirring away inside. It would be such a special, gorgeous present to have engraved and have waiting for your Groom on your big day!

We have a bit of a thing about dinosaurs in our house, and these silver dinosaur cufflinks from Etsy are amazing! I’ve seen a few epic dinosaur cufflinks, but these are definitely the prettiest and most special I’ve come across.

Along the same lines as the dinosaurs, I love these rocket cufflinks from my new favourite crafty business: I am Acrylic. Maybe not quite special enough for a wedding, but I had to include them as they’re so cool!

I love the idea of these collar stays that I found on Etsy (again)! Probably not something you could use more than once, unless you go to lots of formal events or have a job that requires you to wear them, but these are such a gorgeous item and another special present to be personalised.

Did you buy (or make) your Groom anything special for your wedding day?

I wanted to buy Andy some collar stiffeners as he wears them with his work shirts but I could never think of what to have engraved on them (how lame!) In the end I went with stripy cufflinks (though even then I wanted Millennium Falcon ones for him but time and money conspired against me!)

I bought my Hubby some diamond cufflinks as a gift on our wedding day. Looking back, it seems extravagant, but that was back in the days of double-income, no kids. Oh, how things quickly change!

I bought Mr Hubby a silver watch and engraved on the catch was ‘See you at 12’ 🙂 x
