I’m sure it hasn’t escaped your attention that the world has gone selfie mad! In the past few months the word has made it into the English Dictionary, into songs (“but first, let me take a selfie!”) and even onto the Oscars, so it was only natural that someone would release the perfect selfie beauty product.
Let me introduce to you InstaBlur™ from The Body Shop!
InstaBlur™is an all-in-one™ 5-action perfector, made up of a unique formula of mattifying spherical powders with smart-filling properties, and gloriously moisturising Vitamin E.
Not only does the InstaBlur™ leave your skin feeling silky soft, but it is something of a miracle product. The formula blurs skin imperfections instantly (and I mean instantly) so that you’ll be photo ready in a flash.
The 5 skin perfecting actions are:
- 12 hour shine control
- Pore smoothing
- Blemish concealment
- Complexion unifying
- Make-up extending
I’ve found the InstaBlur™ most useful on Nursery run mornings, when I don’t have the time (nor energy) to apply a full face of make-up, but don’t want to scare fellow parents too much. I’ve also found that it’s an excellent primer for my foundation on days when my face has decided to freak-out hormonally, and I do have a bit of time to take some care in my appearance.
The InstaBlur™ all-in-one™5-action perfector costs just £14, and will be available to buy instore and on The Body Shop website
from 21st May 2014.

Tackle those blemishes with BB Cream from The Body Shop!
I always feel bad trowelling make-up onto my skin when I’m having a bad skin day. Common sense indicates to me that it’s probably not doing much good and that I should be doing the opposite, and perhaps a paper bag over my head might be a better solution? So when The Body Shop sent me some of their Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream to try, I was rather excited to give it a whirl!
Why Tea Tree BB Cream?
As well as doing the great job of covering up those blemishes and spots, the tea tea works its purifying magic to help clear up the nasties to make you feel more comfortable and confident in your own skin again. The Tea Tree BB Cream comes in three universal shades, and the cream glides and blends seamlessly into your skin.
In theory I think this is a fantastic concept, and I didn’t feel guilty for popping this on instead of my normal “cover those nasties” make-up. However, the tea tree is rather potent, and I did feel a little self-conscious of the smell initially.
The Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream costs £8 and will be available to buy instore and on The Body Shop website
from 21st May 2014.
