The Week That Was: Captured #46

Well hello there, and welcome to The Week That Was: Captured!

Have you all had a wonderful week?

The rules are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts.

Last week…
I really enjoyed Spade Fork Spoon‘s macro allotment post – as someone who is obsessed with her macro iPhone lens, I know how much fun these photos are to take! I loved reading how much more relaxed Amanda is now the twins are getting the minibus to school – I also had my heart in my mouth when she talked about the twins’ first fairground ride experience! Eek! I adored the photo of Harper meeting a horse on Little Button Diaries’ blog – so cute!

Our week…
I’ve been suffering from post-holiday blues this week! I’m also struggling to get back into the swing of blogging again… I thought I would come back re-energised and inspired, but I’m just feeling like I’d rather be concentrating my efforts elsewhere (wedding and The Little Geekery Company). I guess we’ll see what happens. I’m feeling pretty tired this week as Busby has been up at 4am three mornings in a row… that probably isn’t helping my creativity and drive!

On Sunday we travelled back to Sussex. We stopped off at Wimpole Hall again, and the weather was a complete contrast to the time we visited previously (10 days before)! We huddled up in coats and drank tea from paper cups. Busby said “tractor” for the first time though!

Busby and I had a lovely morning together on Monday. We then headed into Brighton in the afternoon as I had a massage booked (which was glorious!) so I dropped Busby off at work with Nick, and enjoyed some “me” time.

On Tuesday I got back into the swing of working again!

And the same on Wednesday – although we did have a very exciting delivery of a brand-spanking-new Affinity pram from Britax which we’ll be reviewing in the coming weeks.

A friend and her lovely boy came over on Thursday morning, as I wanted her to have a look at my wedding dresses to see whether she could bring my “super dress” vision to life (more on that soon). Then Busby and I headed into Lewes in the afternoon to visit the printers to see about printing our wedding invitations that I’ve designed.

Friday was one of those days where almost nothing went right. I was thankful to be back at our Monkey Music class though, as Busby loves it so much; she did lots of hilarious dancing and applauded almost everything our teacher did! I picked up our sample invitation from the printers in the afternoon, and all is good (with a minor edit or two) so we’ll be going ahead with those next week. Eek!

Early doors again on Saturday morning with Busby! I had an appointment with the florist in Lewes to discuss our wedding flowers – she was really lovely and had some wonderful ideas. Very exciting! I then met Nick and Busby in Lewes for a walk. After lunch we all headed down to the field near our house, and while Busby (finally) napped, Nick and I finalised our guest list for the wedding. We’ve had to be pretty brutal for the Wedding Breakfast, because we (sadly) haven’t won the lottery (yet).

1. Stopping off at Wimpole Hall (Sunday) // 2. My beautiful Hawes and Curtis shirt arrived to review! (Monday) // 3. Beautiful Busby taken by my Mutti (Wednesday) // 4. The Britax Affinity gets the snoozing seal of approval so far! (Thursday) // 5. “Mummy, I will give you tea – you cannot be trusted to drink it yourself!” (Thursday) // 6. A picnic at The Grange (Friday) // 7. Off to see the florist (Saturday) // 8. Well-needed caffeine! (Saturday) // 9. Someone stole our ice cream… (Saturday)

I’m really looking forward to next week – I’ve had a few technical issues with The Little Geekery shop and the domain so haven’t been able to launch yet, but I’m hoping (fingers crossed) that everything will be in place by the beginning of the week. I’m also catching up with a few friends and family members and have a lovely week planned.

What have you been up to this week?
