The Week That Was: Captured #48

Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured!

Happy 1st June! Have you all had a fantastic week?

The rules are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts.

Last week…
I loved reading about Lauren’s playdate this week – the beach is such a wonderful place to have a playdate. First unaided steps for Ickle Pickle – well done!! Grier’s Disney fairytale response to a rather serious conversation made me giggle a lot, Caroline!

Our week…
This week has been another long one. It’s definitely been one full of positive change, and we’ve set some realistic goals!

I had a great day on Saturday. I went shopping with my almost Mother-in-law for her wedding outfit! I may have also purchased myself a dress (not another wedding one – don’t worry!) and she bought such a beautiful outfit, including shoes and bag, for the Big Day. We then went out for a small lunch to my new favourite place in Brighton – a cava bar.

On Sunday we headed over to Littlehampton for a BBQ. We had such a lovely day, and Nick and I even snuck in a nap while his parents took Busby for a walk!

Nick was working on the Bank Holiday Monday so I took advantage of his parents being about and headed into Brighton, Busby-free, to meet my Bridesmaid in search of shoes for her. We had a good ol’ catch up and she bought me lunch (at the cava bar – there’s a pattern emerging) which was very lovely of her.

I worked on Tuesday. Although it was quite an unproductive day; my mind wasn’t really in the right place, so I did some wedmin in the afternoon and created our Order of Service.

I also worked on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Busby and I headed to a friend’s house for a playdate. We ended up staying for lunch and then took the girls to see her horses. Happy days! Busby and I then visited the printers to look at the final proof for our invites, and I gave the go ahead to print all 100.

We didn’t have our music class on Friday morning so Busby and I walked into Lewes to pick up our invites! EEK! A friend (who I haven’t seen for ages) came round in the afternoon and we had such a lovely time that she ended up staying for dinner – we had a great catch up!

We took advantage of the sunshine on Saturday and headed over to Lindfield to their Village Day. Every time I enter the village I get butterflies of excitement… Less than 4 months to go until we get married there!! We dropped my Mutti off at the station, as she’s off to Greece on holiday, and then I explored Haywards Heath whilst Nick chilled in the car with a sleeping Busby. I found some great charity shop bargains, including some fabulous wooden toys for Busby! When we got home Busby decided that she wanted to take her new wooden dog for a walk, so we headed to our local park for an hour. We had such a glorious family day with lots of giggles.

1. My new flamingo dress (Saturday) // 2. Superstar Busby (Monday) // 3. Wedmin (Tuesday) // 4. So 90s on the Nursery run (Tuesday) // 5. Bubbles required after Toddler Tantrum (Thursday) // 6. Invitations designed by my own fair hand! (Friday) // 7. Busby rocking her balloons at Village Day (Saturday) // 8. Walking her dog (Saturday) // 9. A ยฃ3 bargain! (Saturday)

What have you been up to this week?
