Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured!
Have you all had a wonderful, sunny week?
The rules are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts.
I loved Lorna’s (I Knitted Me A Beach) beautiful photos of her week in Cornwall… although I was (and still am) slightly envious! Kirsty’s (Hijacked by Twins) sandcastle cake looked amazing, and I loved reading about her twins HV check-up. I was pretty envious of Katie’s (Hook, Line and Sink Her) amazing week of cake – and it sounds like she had a fab time at the Etsy Craft Party in Brighton!
This week has been really lovely; lots of sunshine and picnics… and three trips to Brighton!
On Sunday we visited Washbrooks Farm in Hurstpierpoint. I used to go there all the time when I was little so it was great to re-visit! It’s changed a lot, but Busby had lots of fun and threw a giant tantrum when we had to leave.
Busby and I headed into Brighton on Monday as she needed some summer shoes. We met Nick for lunch and then visited Clarks (and spent a small fortune as she’d gone up a shoe size in 2 months…)
Nick had the day off on Tuesday so we went to Brighton (for the second time that week) to visit Jamie’s Italian for lunch. I had kindly been asked to review the restaurant and we had a great time catching up in the sun and enjoying a glass or two of prosecco on the terrace. You can read the review here. Once we were back in Lewes, we dropped my wedding dresses off to a friend who is turning them into “super dress” for me. Very exciting!!
Busby and I had a day around Lewes on Wednesday. I can’t really remember what we did… I think it involved a picnic and playing in the sunshine. Oh, we posted our wedding invitations!! And then Busby and I shared a mini milk on the pavement outside the corner shop.
We went to Brighton again on Thursday to attend a mini baby shower for the lovely Chelle (Unique & Chic). Busby and I then met Nick for lunch again.
We had our usual Monkey Music class on Friday morning, and then I went to be measured for the amendments to my wedding dresses for “super dress”. We spent most of the afternoon in The Paddock in Lewes, playing in the sunshine.
After a slow get up on Saturday morning we travelled to the supermarket to buy picnic food and had a picnic in Lindfield. After a few hours in the park, we went out for a lovely coffee in Haywards Heath and a meander around the shops.
What have you been up to this week?
