Review: Fijan Water Lotus Range from The Body Shop

This week the lovely folk at The Body Shop sent me some gorgeous items from their new Fijan Water Lotus range to try. I think our tropical holidays may be a thing of the past now we’re parents, so I couldn’t wait to escape to my own tropical paradise (our back garden is a bit of a sun trap) and try out this beautiful new range from The Body Shop.

What does Fijan Water Lotus smell like?
Fijan Water Lotus is a fresh, sweet and vibrant fragrance with top notes of mandarin and litsea. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I think it’s rather beautiful.

I was sent three items from the range – and I’ve got to say, even the packaging made me feel relaxed and revitalised!

1. Body Lotion 250ml // £10
The lotion is beautifully (but lightly) fragranced and left my skin feeling beautifully soft. It’s ideal for moisturising post-bath.

2. Eau de Toilette 50ml // £16
I’m a huge fan of The Body Shop’s Eau de Toilettes so couldn’t wait to try this. The scent is light and floral, and slightly sweet; it’s perfect for daytime wear.

The Eau de Toilette contains 100% organic Community Fair Trade alcohol from Cotopaxi, Ecuador, which is handmade from sugar cane.

3. Perfume Oil 15ml // £7.50
I love how cute this little bottle is! Absolutely perfect for keeping in your changing bag and dabbing on when you run out of the house in a hurry without any perfume on. It’s more of an intense fragrance hit than the Eau de Toilette, but smells beautiful when applied to pulse points.

The whole Fijan Water Lotus range (which also includes body butter, shower gel and fragrance mist) will be available to buy, both online and in store, from 16th July 2014.
