The Week That Was: Captured #53

Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured!

Have you all had a fabulous week?

The rules are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

Last week
I always look forward to Lori’s (Lori and the Caravan) posts as she has such fabulous style! I can’t wait to see what her caravan is going to look like after its makeover. Caroline’s (Tea is the Answer) posts are always so beautiful to look at – I loved reading about Brodie’s graduation. I really enjoyed Laura’s (Life Love Laura) selfies last week – especially the salmon pink one! Also the action shots of Daisy were adorable.

Our week
This week has been a bit up and down…

On Sunday Busby woke up with a horrible nappy rash, which then proceeded to make its way onto her hands and feet… We had planned to meet friends, but alas we didn’t want to risk infecting everyone with what I thought might be Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD). We ended up having a quiet day.

The rash had started blistering on Monday and had also continued onto her knees and arms. I thought Busby might have Chicken Pox… Mutti came over in the afternoon with emergency cloth nappies as her nappy rash was horrendous (and nowhere in Lewes sells them?!) and we ate cake.

I had plans in London on Tuesday but had to cancel those and call in sick for Busby to Nursery. By this point I’d established that it was HFMD rather than Chicken Pox as the rash hadn’t spread anywhere else.

Busby and I headed outside on Wednesday as both of us needed to get out of the house! We had a picnic in Baxter’s Field as it was very quiet there and I didn’t want her spreading HFMD. We had a really lovely time, singing and dancing underneath an apple tree.

Mutti had Busby on Thursday as I had a meeting in London that I couldn’t cancel. I also visited Mothercare and Dotcom Gift Shop’s Christmas in July events, and bumped into lovely Becky from Mummy Adventure and Kara from Innocent Charmer. I was thankful to get home that evening as it had been a very busy day!

We didn’t have Monkey Music this Friday so Busby and I headed into Lewes to get some tasty picnic things and sat in Baxter’s Field again.

Busby’s spots were so much better on Saturday, so we headed in Brighton to meet lovely Hannah from Mums’ Days (who was down from Blyth) and Lauren from Belle du Brighton for coffee and cake at The Level. We had a fab time – I love meeting blogging friends in real life! Nick and I then spent the evening drinking bubbles and booking our honeymoon… it’s all booked now!

1. I gave Busby’s fringe a chop – I think she’s looks rather continental! (Sunday) // 2. Stuck! (Tuesday) // 3. Bubbles! (Tuesday) // 4. Well-needed: Coffee and a run about (Wednesday) // 5. Post-nap melfie (Wednesday) // 6. Off to London (Thursday) // 7. Prosecco! (Thursday) // 8. Bee bum (Friday) // 9. Busby, Athena and Reuben (Saturday)

Poor B, hope she’s much better now? I love the bee cloth nappy too, think I’m going to try cloth nappies when we have another baby. They seem much kinder to the skin and environment. How exciting that you’ve booked your honeymoon, I’m sure you’ll have the most amazing time. Xx
