Make, Do and List // Week Four
I’m joining in with lovely Mums’ Days, Mums’ List again! I’m not sure where the weeks are going – they seem to be flying by!
This week I have been:
I’m back on the paperbacks this week as I’m not getting on well with Brighton Rock on the Kindle. I remembered that I had another book to read, so I’m reading Paper Towns by the fantastic John Green.
It’s a good ‘un so far. I love the way he gets teenagers so right. His books are beautifully written with enthralling story lines.
Other than my almost-husband? Well, I discovered Dickins & Jones in House of Fraser during my trip to London on Tuesday. Oh my. Their items make me feel like I could be transformed into the 1950’s house wife I’ve always dreamt I’ll be. Highlights include this dress that I have gone completely ga-ga over, and this jumper that makes me want to be Blair Waldorf, even more.
Cake. I’ve come to the conclusion that I will never be as slim as I’d like to be because I love cake too much. Life is too short not to eat cake. And other delicious foods.
I was invited to another Christmas in July event this week, this time hosted by Kettner’s, Soho. It was a really wonderful event and I left wishing that we a) could re-book our wedding there, and b) had the money to do so. It’s a perfect 1920s venue!
We were lavished with the most gorgeous champagne, cocktails and canapés – all before midday. Bliss!
Small plug here for The Little Geekery Company! Our summer sale is now on, with items starting from only £1! I’ve been busy wrapping up orders and visiting the Post Office.
Packaging is so important to me, and I’ve really enjoyed creating our own stationery for the business.
