The lovely folk at Tots Bots heard about our recent escapade into the land of Cloth Nappies, and kindly sent us one of their wonderful Easyfit V4 nappies to review. It took me a while to choose the print, as Tots Bots have such a fab selection, but Incy Wincy is Busby’s favourite Nursery rhyme (well, other than The Wheels on the Bus!) so I knew she would love the Incy Wincy nappy!
The Easyfit V4 is an all-in-one (AIO) nappy. AIO nappies are definitely my favourite cloth nappies to use; everything is included and attached, so no faffing around with inserts and pockets! As well as the V4’s super absorbent bamboo interior (which is super soft), the nappy comes with a booster that easily pops onto the interior for extra absorbency. This does make the nappy rather chunky, and unfortunately we can’t fit Busby’s chubby bottom in the nappy with this extra layer in too.
The interior neatly tucks into the flap at the back of the nappy to keep it in place. I love this about AIO nappies – it’s so handy and it means the interior will remain in the same place when you close the nappy up.
The V4 fastens with velcro tabs at the front, so it’s very easy to change the nappy width depending on your child’s size. The nappy is recommended from 8lbs to 35lbs, and the size can be amended by fastening the poppers that run down the nappy.
I love the print so much! It’s super fun and bright, and Busby and I have had lots of fun singing along and pointing out Incy! The outer layer is waterproof, so there’s no need for a separate cover.
The Easyfit V4 dries super quickly and has wonderful laundry tabs so that the velcro doesn’t stick to other nappies, or laundry, in the washing machine.
The Easyfit V4 is ideal for daytime use, and has lasted 2-3 hours before needing a change. I imagine the nappy will last longer in Winter when Busby isn’t drinking so much water in this hot weather. Cloth nappies have been the perfect cool outfit accessory over summer; they look so beautiful and funky teamed with a tee to lounge around the house in.
We were also sent a pot of Parma Violet Nappy Wash potion and some disposable nappy liners to try out with the Easyfit V4 (and our other nappies). I’m not usually a huge fan of Parma Violets, but when our kitchen filled with the smell it did take me back and found myself feeling with nostalgic! Unfortunately, Busby has very sensitive skin so she developed a rash when I used the nappy wash – I think it must be the fragrance, as we can’t usually use anything with a fragrance on her. Luckily the nappy wash does come in a fragrance-free tub too.
The disposable nappy liners were very exciting! We usually use fleece liners with our cloth nappies, but it has been a serious novelty being able to flush them down the toilet – especially after a messy nappy!
I would definitely recommend the Tots Bots Easyfit V4 to anyone wanting an absorbent, super soft and fun cloth nappy. The Easyfit V4 costs £16.99 and a selection of designs are available to buy on the Tots Bots website; I am rather in love with the new Fox n Spots nappy! The Potion Nappy Wash is £5.99 for 750g. The disposable nappy liners are £2.49 for 100. All items are available to buy on the Tots Bots website
