I don’t know about you lovely lot, but my skin is super sensitive to the weather. Since the beautiful, hot spell seems to have departed our shores, I’ve found that my hands and feet are especially dry. Obviously the situation with my hands is exasperated by post-nappy and general post-toddler-handling hand washes, but I’ve really been suffering. As you can imagine I was very thankful when a lovely package arrived on my doorstep from The Body Shop!
Hemp is currently being harvested this August and I was sent the Hemp Hand Protector and Hemp Foot Protector to try. I honestly think The Body Shop Team can read my mind sometimes!
The Body Shop‘s Community Fair Trade hemp seed oil is derived from a secret, unique and rather beautiful part of the UK. The oil is rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9 – these components are contained in exactly the right ratio to be absorbed into the body. Hemp seed oil is also a natural source of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which is said to be fantastic for your skin and hair.
Hemp Hand Protector (100ml) £10 RRP
I’ve wanted to try the Hemp Hand Protector for a while now, since it featured on What’s in your changing bag? back in 2013. It’s been recommended to me quite a few times, but I’ve always had another hand cream on the go. However, the hand protector is a little bit magical and I really wish I’d tried it sooner. It’s fantastic on my super dry skin, and makes my hands feel moisturised again almost immediately. I would definitely recommend this to any parents looking for a hand cream for post-nappy changes!
Hemp Foot Protector (100ml) £10 RRP
As I mentioned above, since the weather has turned my feet have been suffering dreadfully from dry skin. The Hemp Foot Protector smells slightly clinical, but works wonders! My feet have been restored and it’s definitely a product I will be using throughout Winter.
Both of these wonderful products can be found on The Body Shop website.
