The Week That Was: Captured #58

Hullo! 48 days until we get married! #justsaying

Oh, yes and welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you all had a great week?

The rules are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

Last week
Really lovely photos from You Baby, Me Mummy this week! I love it when Blog Babies meet, and Aby captured some fab photos in her post. Lori’s (Lori and the Caravan) post really resonated with me last week – we’re in a similar position here – it’s all very positive though, and everything will be even more wonderful for them I’m sure. I couldn’t not mention Hayley’s (Hay in a Day) post about The Lakes – absolutely gorgeous photos and it has made me even more excited about our impending Honeymoon!

Our week
This week has been fairly crazy! Busby decided to make the first part of the week nap-free, which has been…interesting! I never realised how much I value naptime.

I attended a screen printing course in Brighton on Sunday. It was really good – although perhaps not quite the right level for what I want to do with Little Geekery, but it was useful and fun nonetheless! There’s nothing quite like making something with your hands.

I can’t remember what we did on Monday! I remember that Busby didn’t nap though…

I worked on Tuesday and also had a wedmin catch up session.

Busby and I headed into Brighton on Wednesday to meet Nick for lunch. We then wandered around the shops as I wanted to return something (successful) and find Busby some wellies (unsuccessful)! This was Busby’s third day without a nap, and I was fearing that naptimes might be a thing of the past…

We announced that we are Cosatto Brand Buddies on Thursday! Yippee! And then our new chariot arrived just in time to take it to lunch! Huzzah! We met Chelle, her new baby Froglet, Fizz and her husband for lunch, and I had newborn cuddles! Busby finally napped at 4pm on Thursday, which is a really great time to have a nap… not. But it just goes to show that the Giggle New Wave is very comfy.

Busby had a lie in until 9am (?! That’s what not napping does I suppose) on Friday. We headed into Lewes to grab some food, and items for our guest book, and then we had a picnic in The Paddock. We got caught in a very heavy shower on the way home – the raincover was fantastic in the downpour… I wish I’d had one over me!!! We spent the afternoon playing in the box. Nick came home from work with a bunch of sunflowers, cheesecake and prosecco for me! He also heard some pretty exciting news which I can’t share quite yet.

I slept really badly, so Busby and I were up pretty early on Saturday. After running some errands we headed for a family visit to our local National Trust property, Sheffield Park. Busby spent a lot of the time trying to throw herself into the Lake, and our picnic was invaded by a herd of ducks. We then explored the Lake-less part, and Busby spent a good 30 minutes trying to catch a sheep! The afternoon and evening were dominated by wedmin.

1. Screen printing fun – a dinosaur in a hot air balloon! (Sunday) // 2. Reading with Daddy at lunch (Wednesday) // 3. Boxes are FUN! (Thursday) // 4. The maiden voyage for our new chariot! (Thursday) // 5. “This way to the park Mummy!” (Friday) // 6. A beautiful sunflower (Friday) // 7. “Look Daddy! Ducks!” (Saturday) // 8. Beautiful Sheffield Park (Saturday) // 9. Busby Harding: Sheep Chaser and Toddler (Saturday)

What have you been up to this week?
