The Week That Was: Captured #60
Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to meeee! Happy birthday to meeeeee! Happy birthday to me! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you all had a wonderful week? Today is my birthday if you hadn’t already guessed!
The rules are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
I’ve become a bit obsessed with the dinosaur shoes Katie (Hook Line and Sink Her) posted last week… they are fairly epic! I really enjoyed Amanda’s (City Girl Gone Coastal) photos – it looks like they’re having a wonderful summer holiday with lots of crafting and adventures. A lovely happy week for Lauren (Real Housewife of Suffolk County)! Her post gave me a well-needed uplift!
Suffice to say this week has been infinitely better than last!
We headed into Brighton on Sunday morning to run some errands and grab a well-needed coffee! I found Busby’s Flower Girl dress in Monsoon (I’ve decided the beautiful Vintage one might not quite fit in with the day – so I’m saving it for her 2nd birthday now!) and we found Nick some Honeymoon attire. Nick’s parents arrived from Yorkshire in the afternoon, and we visited Pizza Express for an early dinner.
The electrician came back on Monday to install the oven in the poison-free kitchen. Nick’s parents took Busby away for the day, and I spent most of the day on the sofa resting and watching films. I haven’t had a day like that in a long time!
Busby woke herself up with an almighty bang to the head on Tuesday on the bars of her cot, so after dropping her off at Nursery I decided it was time to remove the bars and crack open the duvet. I also spent the day working, doing wedmin AND I even began making the table runners for the wedding! It was quite a productive day!
Mutti took Busby out to the farm with some friends on Wednesday so I headed into Brighton to pick up another set of underwear to try for the wedding! I also had a cheeky visit to Zara Kids…
We visited Raystede Animal Sanctuary on Thursday with friends. It was our first time there, but it’s a fantastic place to visit and let toddlers run off their energy – plus it’s free! Nick and I headed out for a “Mummy and Daddy date” in the evening with Busby’s best friend’s parents – it was the first time we’ve done this and we had a great time. The food was delicious and we drank a fair amount…
I wasn’t feeling too bad on Friday morning – thankfully! Busby and I ran some errands in town and then had a picnic in The Paddock. She napped in her cot bed for the second time without any fuss (miracle!) Nick’s parents came over in the evening.
We headed into Brighton on Saturday morning as Nick needed to get some bits and bobs for my birthday. I wandered around town by myself, chased up the resizing of my engagement ring (thankfully they haven’t lost it – the Sales Assistant just didn’t know what she was doing when I gave it to her), and even had a solo coffee. As I write this, I’m sat in the car with a snoozing Busby.
What have you been up to this week?
Next week will be hosted by the lovely Aby from You Baby Me Mummy as I’ll be on my hen do! Wish me luck!
