Make, Do and List // Week Eight

This week has been pretty horrific due to sickness, but hey-ho, must keep going as the wedding is only 9 days away now and there’s lots to do!

This week I have been:
Reading…
I finished Lucie Whitehouse’s third book The Bed I Made. It definitely wasn’t as good as the last two I’ve read – the first half was very slow and I don’t think she developed the characters as well as she could have; they all felt a bit one-dimensional and, at times, caricatures.

I did really enjoy the second half however, and the way Whitehouse conjures up such beautiful, bleak imagery of the Isle of Wight with her words. Plus it’s only Β£1.50 in the Kindle store – so definitely worth a read.

Feeling…
Pretty rubbish. After two nights of limited sleep at the beginning of the week, and one night of excruciating stomach pain, I was diagnosed with a stress-induced stomach ulcer… I then proceeded to collapse in Boots whilst waiting for my prescription, which meant I was carted off to the hospital to have my obs done… “You must rest!” I have been told. Since then I’ve spent 2 and a half days in bed – suffering from a very poorly tummy and extreme dizziness. I can’t stomach anything – not even toast and water… But hey, my pre-wedding detox wasn’t going massively well, so if I’m looking for a silver lining (which I desperately am right now) at least my body is doing an enforced detox…!

Looking forward to…
Becoming Mrs Harding in 9 days time! And then the honeymoon! Oh the glorious, food-heaven honeymoon in the Lake District…

Thinking about…
What happens after the wedding! I’m trying not to think about anything other than the wedding too much at the moment, but the idea that we might have a second baby keeps sneaking into my mind – and it’s got me very excited!

Making…
Lists! So many lists! I started a detailed schedule for the next 9 days last night, so we remember what needs to be collected, what is being delivered and where we’re supposed to be and when! There’s so much to remember, and still a fair amount to do… I really hope I feel better by the weekend.

Oh Hannah- I’m so sorry to hear that! How awful (and scary!) it must have been/be. I really hope you’re managing to get some rest and manage to stomach something soon. Thank goodness for the silver lining of being a super-svelte vixen on your wedding day and legitimately being able to stuff your face with at least twice as much food as you need to get yourself back to full health on your honeymoon xxx

Hope you feel better soon, please don’t stress too much, I know you have been mad like me making lots of bits, I got to a point where I had to stop as it was just getting silly (just remember it will only be you and the groom who won’t notice there is *insert item or decoration here* that’s what I did in the end anyway and still had a great day!
Sounds like a pretty awful week so hope you manage to rest up and get yourself well to enjoy your day-and enjoy the honeymoon and child free time πŸ™‚ xxx
