Make, Do and List // Week Seven

Here we are again – the weeks are flying past at the moment, and there are now only 15 days to go until our wedding…! *Runs around in blind panic!*

This week I have been:
Reading…
I read another Lucie Whitehouse book this week (I appear to have become something of an addict… I’m currently reading her third!) – this one was called “The House at Midnight” and it was fantastic. A tad unbelievable at times, but Whitehouse does an amazing job of portraying obsessive, all-encompassing, unrequited love.

I thoroughly enjoyed the novel and, as Nick will tell you, I barely put it down! The times I did have to put it down (to sleep, be a responsible parent etc) I found myself thinking about the characters, the plot… and finding myself rather obsessed with it too! I would definitely recommend “The House at Midnight” – plus it’s only £1.50 in the Kindle store at the moment.

Loving…
Chalkboard paint. Oh yes.

The wedding crafting is truly full steam ahead, and my rather nosey neighbour has greatly enjoyed the daily interaction: “What are you making today?” and has noted the copious black matte objects with interest. I envisage a house covered in chalkboard paint when we finally get on the property ladder!

Appreciating…

Time with Busby. In just over two weeks Nick and I will be going on Honeymoon for a whole seven days without her. It’s the longest amount of time either of us have been away from her, so I’ve been really enjoying and savouring our time together this week.

Booking…
All of my pre-wedding beauty treatments! My hands are in a horrific state at the moment, so a fully moisturising manicure is in order, and my eyebrows appear to have merged into one, so a good ol’ wax is definitely required before I walk down the aisle. I’ve also got a blissful massage booked to (hopefully) de-stress me… a bit!

Feeling…
So many emotions this week. Mostly excitement for our impending nuptials, but also a fair amount of fear, nervousness, happiness, exhaustion… In 15 days it will all be worth it, and I might have some free time again!

Waaa! I thought I’d commented already – good job I checked. What I said was basically 1) I love reading about book you’ve read – it makes me feel like I’ve read them 2) I love chalkboard paint too! 3) I want to get married again just so I’ll take better care of myself! – mono-brow alert!

Thanks for linking in to #TheList xxxx
