Motion Control Thomas the Tank Engine // Review and Giveaway
Busby is a little vehicle-mad at the moment; she loves everything from tractors to vans – but what she gets most excited about is trains! Watching them, riding on them, even seeing one on television will send her off on an excited babble and dance… so when we were offered a Fisher-Price® My First Thomas & Friends™ Motion Control Thomas to review, I had to say yes!
Motion Control Thomas arrived with batteries, which is always a winner in my book! He was very easy to assemble (get out the box, turn on and go) and didn’t require much fiddling about with at all. Busby’s face when she first encountered him was a picture; a mixture of excitement, and a small hint of fear when he drove towards her.
Thomas can move backwards and forwards, and responds to a simple hand waving (or use the included crossing sign) over the motion control sensors on the top of his cab to encourage him in either direction. He can also reverse and turn, to avoid obstacles in his path.
Motion Control Thomas has a number of phrases and sounds, as well as a fun “Thomas Says” mode, which is “Simon Says” but in the world of Thomas. Busby is still a little bit too young for this mode, but she does love the racing mode, where you wave your hand over the cab to rev Thomas up!
Fisher-Price® My First Thomas & Friends™ Motion Control Thomas is a fantastic toy, and is ideal for any Thomas the Tank Engine fan! It is recommended for ages 2+, and has even proved a favourite with Grandad! Motion Thomas costs £40, and is available to buy from a number of retailers including Tesco.
