Howdy! I’m back, and with a new look – do you like it?
Well, welcome back to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you all had a wonderful few weeks? I hope so! I’d like to say a MAHOOSIVE THANK YOU to the amazing Aby of You Baby, Me Mummy for hosting over the past three weeks. She has done a fabulous job and I am extremely grateful to her for everything.
Our wedding and honeymoon were amazing! I haven’t had a chance to write about the wedding yet, but our The Week That Was: Honeymooned is here if you fancy a gander.
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
Last week: Oh my! Last week’s posts certainly upped my broody levels somewhat! Rachel’s (Rachel Roaming) post about new baby Oliver had me loudly awwing at the screen, as did Lianne’s (The Brunette Says…) post about Taylor! Not to mention gorgeous little Noah in Cathy’s (Jack’s Paper Moon) post! So adorable!
If this week were an episode of Friends it would be “The one where everyone comes crashing back down into reality”. Not that reality is a bad thing! I just wish we could relive our wedding day again… slowly!
We arrived back in Sussex on Saturday after a long ol’ journey home; one of the junctions on the M25 was closed so we ended up taking a detour around the junction… and got lost a few times!
Eager to get out of the house on Sunday, we headed to our local National Trust property, Sheffield Park, for a wander and for some fresh air. We spent a lovely few hours there; puddle jumping, saying “hiya!” to ducks and stopping Busby from running into the Lakes. Our trip was ended when Busby face-planted into a huge puddle in front of a lot of elderly people, and we had to change her on the bank of the Lake as the muddy water had filled her boots and reached her nappy… oops!
Busby and I had our first solo day together for three whole weeks on Monday! She was in a cuddly mood, so we spent a lot of day snuggled up on the sofa. Mutti popped over in the afternoon for a cup of tea and catch up.
I had a really productive day on Tuesday; I managed to get all my work done by lunchtime, so started work on moving my blog over to WordPress and completed the finishing touches on my Cosatto Giggle New Wave review!
Mutti had Busby on Wednesday afternoon so I could get some rest after a few nights of not sleeping well.
We made the most of the sunshine on Thursday and had an impromptu visit to Brighton. Busby and I had lunch in the (very busy) M&S Café and then did a spot of shopping to get some more winter bits.
Hurrah for Friday (it has felt like a long week)! We were very happy to be reunited with our Monkey Music class on Friday morning, and then had a lovely lunch date with Busby’s bestie and her Mama at Pizza Express after our lesson.
Nick worked on Saturday morning so Busby and I caught the bus into Brighton; we went pushchair-less and carrier-less (the first time we’ve ventured further than our local park without any form of transport). The trip was a success, and Busby loved having her own seat on the bus! We had a great time at The Level playground, and even bumped into some familiar faces.
What have you been up to this week?
