The Big Day // Part Three (The Wedding Breakfast)

I was going to make this a post about the whole of the Reception Party, but then realised (once again) that there were far too many photos I wanted to share! So this is just of our beautiful Hall and delicious Wedding Breakfast.

Talking of the Wedding Breakfast, if you’re looking for wonderful caterers that go above and beyond, who produce the most divine food, and who are genuinely lovely, then I can’t recommend the wonderful team at Jam & Tea more! I hope there’s another opportunity in the future where I can hire Maryanne (or at least sample her ridiculously amazing maple and pecan scones) again, as she was a superstar and a highlight of our Wedding Day.

So the Hall… the Hall was the baby I nurtured and crafted for two years of my life. I spent hours of my life pinning wedding-related images on Pinterest, and never in a thousand years did I think the Hall would actually look better than I could have envisaged. I couldn’t have done it without my amazing team of helpers (you know who you are!) who stayed until 10pm the night before the wedding hanging bunting, stringing festoon lighting, chopping up flowers, ironing swathes of table cloths, gluing metres of twine to jam jars… the list is endless, but thank you for bringing my vision to life (and I hope I wasn’t too bossy – apologies if I was!)

Without further ado, I give you Part Three! (You can catch up with Part One and Part Two here):

It was really important to me not to forget the children at our wedding. So I set up this little area for them to play (and they had pretty awesome activity tins too!)

I’ll leave you with the above shot, as it’s always good to end with gin. Part Four is soon to follow… which will either be some of our wonderful couple shots, some of the evening photos or some of the guests. I shall leave you on a cliff hanger there!

All of the photographs above were taken by the amazing Emma Gutteridge of Emma Lucy Photography, who retains all copyright on them – so please don’t pinch them (and if you want to pin them, please pop her name in the pin description so everyone knows who took these ridiculously wonderful photos).

It looks amazing, no wonder you were so tired and stressed bringing it all to life! If we’d had guests and a do for our wedding this is pretty much exactly how I would have done things, it all looks beautiful xx

It looks absolutely incredible- I’m not surprised you felt proud! The flowers are stunning, the gin bar is inspired, and I LOVE the idea of a fancy cream tea as a wedding breakfast. Those scones sound totally epic too.
