Hey there! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
I really enjoyed reading this happy half term post from Mama vs Teacher. It sounds like she had such a wonderful time with her son, and it was so lovely to read. (And it was lovely to have her join in again!)
I was so happy to see that Caroline (Tea is the Answer) joined in again with #TWTWC last week. Her photos are always so gorgeous and I love reading about her week!
Gorgeous rock pooling photos from Vicky (Ville de Brighton) – I was also happy to see her join in again, as have missed her weekly updates!
This week has been rather busy, with birthdays and bonfires.
We had friends over for lunch on Sunday, which was really lovely. We haven’t been able to do it much in this house, as it’s so small, but it was great to entertain again!
Busby and I went for lunch with a friend on Monday to Bill’s – I figured that it might be our last chance to go there before we move. The children’s menu is really good – I was very impressed!
It was Nick’s birthday on Tuesday. I spent the day attempting to nap after a night of interrupted sleep the night before… Sadly Nick had to work (it’s my rule that no one should ever have to work on their birthday – but as we’re leaving Sussex soon he had to), so I met him after work and took him out for a very tasty dinner!
Wednesday was a lovely day! Busby and I spent the morning cuddled up on the sofa watching Cbeebies, before I introduced her to gnocchi for lunch and then we did a spot of painting in the afternoon… which resulted in an early bath! We had such a lovely day together, with minimal tantrums. Once Nick came home from work, we headed out to watch the Children’s Parade at Lewes Bonfire, and then Nick and I watched one of the displays from our bedroom window. Busby slept through the whole night!!!
We met my Aunt in Brighton for lunch on Thursday – I was happy to see that Italian Nachos were back on the menu at Jamie’s! We had a good catch up – which was lovely as hadn’t seen her since the wedding.
Friday morning started at 5am… We had Monkey Music just before lunch and then ran some errands in Lewes before heading home. I started packing for the big move…
Nick had to work on Saturday morning, and Busby was suffering from a nasty cold, so the two of us spent most of the morning curled up on the sofa playing with Duplo and watching Sarah & Duck on iPlayer. We headed to a friends house for cake in the afternoon.
What have you been up to this week?
