The Week That Was: Captured #72
Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a fab week?
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
I really enjoyed reading Kirsty’s (Hijacked by Twins) post about her detoxing week; she has inspired me to try and be a bit more healthy with my caffeine intake!
Mama Frog‘s post about Christmas crafting was fascinating – I loved some of the ideas she’s been up to – with a Toddler AND a Bump!
Katie (Hook, Line & Sink Her) made custard from scratch – which I thought was rather impressive! Plus she looked so so fab as a Bridesmaid. Her posts are always so funny!
This week has been a bit rubbish as I’ve been feeling under the weather for most of it! We’ve also got so much packing to do still *sob* I’ve definitely made my money back on Busby’s Boden raindrop coat though – she’s worn it every day (as you will see!)
I can’t remember what we did on Sunday… I remember watching Downton and that’s about it!
Busby and I spent Monday playing inside with her new lovely rainy day toys gifted to us from House of Fraser (a post on this soon). Mutti came over for a cup of tea at lunch time, and enjoyed playing with the bricks and hedgehogs as much as Busby (and I) did! Busby and I headed out in the afternoon, as I was hankering after a chai tea latte, so we had a Mama-Daughter date in Café Nero, which turned out to be rather disastrous involving a messy nappy and the start of some kind of virus! Cue an emergency trip to the Doctor that evening, who prescribed cream for the rash…
Busby had her penultimate day at Nursery (*sob*) on Tuesday so I spent most of the day catching up with emails and writing. I managed to have a rather lovely nap in the afternoon.
We caught the train to Haywards Heath, much to Busby’s excitement, on Wednesday and met Mutti to sort out her new phone. She’s had her old battered one for a good few years, so I finally convinced her to get an iPhone so we can FaceTime and iMessage once we move. We then had a lovely afternoon, enjoying the Autumnal air on a dog walk and park visit!
I was feeling horrendous for most of Thursday, so decided to get out of the house as soon as we could for some fresh air! I received a stress-relieving phone call that helped chill me out prior to the move. After getting caught in a rainstorm we made it home, and played all afternoon. We met Busby’s bestie and their parents for dinner at Pizza Express in the early evening.
Nick took a carers day on Friday as I was still feeling pretty appalling. He took Busby down to Brighton in the afternoon, while I tried to nap.
We spent most of Saturday packing for the move! Two of my oldest friends were hosting an open house in the afternoon/evening, so we popped over for a few drinks and to say goodbye. We had such a lovely few hours there; with Busby dancing to music and all of us chatting in the kitchen like we used to at college. It made me wonder whether this move might be a wee bit harder than I envisaged it would be…
What have you been up to this week?
