Pregnant with a Peppercorn // 15 weeks pregnant

This week I’ve finally started feeling more energised! Phew! I’m still feeling sick, but that’s definitely calming down as well, so fingers crossed I’ll be blooming soon.

According to my various apps, Peppercorn is about the size of an apple this week, and he’s started hiccuping and sensing light.

I (thankfully) found M&S’s Watermelon and Coconut White Tea while we were out shopping on Tuesday, so I’ve fulfilled that craving after a few weeks of desperately wanting it without being able to buy any!

I’ve had a craving for a goats cheese and roasted vegetable baguette, but alas, Yorkshire doesn’t seem to be the county to make this delicious dish… I’ll have to eat lots of them when I’m back in Sussex in a few weeks. I’m still eating salt and vinegar crisps, and I’m wanting copious amounts of water, which makes me very happy as I was starting to get worried about dehydration. Another odd thing I’ve noticed this week is that my body seems to be requesting soup, but that might be down to the cold North!

My skin is horrendous at the moment. I seem to be suffering from breakouts all over my body; this could be down to all of the sexy, naughty food I ate over Christmas, but I do think it’s hormonal – especially on my back – as it’s something I suffered with when I was a teenager. I’m hoping the water will start to combat it soon, and that bad skin isn’t something I have to deal with for the next 5 months…

I’ve felt Peppercorn move a number of times over the last week, and I can’t wait for his/her movements to get stronger. This was one of my favourite things about being pregnant with Busby; I loved watching and feeling her move around in my tummy, and I can’t wait until a little foot appears for me to tickle!

We find out whether we’re expecting a boy or girl in just under a month – I’m so excited! As I’ve mentioned previously, I was convinced that Peppercorn was a he, but recently (and because Nick has been referring to bump as a she) I’m wondering whether Nick might be right… Not long to wait now! I’ve been thinking up ways to announce the gender on the blog, and have come up with a couple of rather apt ideas this afternoon, so keep an eye out at the beginning of February.

You can eat pasteurised goats cheese – which is usually hard. You can also eat the soft stuff as long as it’s been cooked 🙂 xx

I was just discussing with a friend today that I never felt energised when I was pregnant, I felt rubbish the whole time with Luca. Glad your starting to feel better though and I can’t believe you can’t find a goats cheese and roasted veg baguette. I’m gonna hunt you one down now. X

Glad you’re feeling a bit more energised now. I didn’t feel I got my energy back until about 16 weeks when I stopped feeling so sick. Cute bump pic btw 🙂 x
