Busby

Busby // One Little Monkey Jumping on the Bed

Wednesday was a day of household chores; catching up with washing, the Sainsbury’s delivery, changing the bedding etc. Before Children (BC), I hated these days as they’d usually fall on the weekend, and in reality all I wanted to be doing was relaxing after a busy week at work… I quite enjoy these days now I’m not working full-time, as it gives us a chance to potter around the house; we don’t have to rush off anywhere and we can spend some quality one-on-one time together without having to interact with the outside world.

Busby loves to help on these days, and I’m making the most of this as I know it won’t last! She loves helping the Sainsbury’s delivery driver with the bags, she relishes pressing the go button on the washing machine, and she’s a seriously good pillow plumper!

The whole changing the bed experience has changed with a toddler in tow; it’s actually fun these days!

I love how easily toddlers are entertained; give our girl an empty, stripped bed and she’s more than happy to spend 30 minutes plus just jumping and bouncing up and down with her toy rabbits!

I’m very aware that our time, just the two of us, is swiftly running out, so I’m trying my best to make the most of her only child status – I’m going to miss the days of just me and my girl so much.

She really is beautiful (I know I say this every time but it is true!) and yet again I am struck just how much she looks like my baby girl too. Who also might I add loves bed jumping along with her big sister. 😉 Definitely treasure these moments with her before Baby No 2 arrives- some of my fondest memories of my biggest girl are just before her sister arrived! xx

Loving the action shot 🙂 Its strange how I too look forward (mostly) to days when you can get things done around the house – how times change.

I remember these feelings when I was expecting our second baby. They go so fast, but its lovely to soak up every moment with your first born before the arrival and the next chapter of having little siblings 🙂
