Review // Cantaloop Pregnancy/Nursing Tank Top

Successful maternity wear is all about comfort; you don’t want clothing digging in, cutting you or restricting your movement. Pregnancy is uncomfortable enough! The lovely folk at Cantaloop offered to send me one of their Pregnancy/Nursing Tank Tops to try, and as I’m always looking for new ways to improve my maternity wardrobe, I said yes.

I didn’t really know what to expect when the top first arrived; initially I thought it would just be another tank top to wear, and I have to admit that I was a little dubious of the inbuilt bra! As someone with an ample bosom, I’m always worried that inbuilt bras a) won’t fit sufficiently and b) won’t be supportive.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

The tank top is ridiculously comfortable; at times I forget that I’m actually wearing it! There aren’t any irritating seams, and the garment doesn’t dig in at all. The top has clasps next to the straps for easy breastfeeding access, and I’m looking forward to using it for this purpose when Peppercorn arrives.

The inbuilt bra is wonderful; it’s supportive and feels just like a regular bra. Once again, this will make it fantastic for breastfeeding.

The top itself is very flattering and enhances the roundness of my bump beautifully. I want to buy one in every colour (you can choose from black, white, red and turquoise)!

My only small niggle with the tank top is the fabric it’s made from (polyamide and elastane); it’s quite a static fabric. However, this doesn’t take away from how comfortable the top is, and I would still recommend it highly!

It looks great! I’m never sure about tops with inbuilt bras, I couldn’t see how they can be supportive enough, but it sounds like this one is great. Now I just need to convince my husband that we need baby number 3!! 🙂 x

Ooh glad I’ve seen this, I have a couple of H&M nursing vest tops from last time round but they’re losing their shape a bit now, this looks like it might be up to the job, will add it to the short list… I better get on with getting things like this sorted actually as baby will be here in about 4 weeks, eek!
