*sob* Time! Please slow down!
This month Indy has found his smile – and what a gorgeous one he has! We’ve had lots of lovely time lying in bed smiling at each other, and he loves it when I sing to him: Incy Wincy Spider is proving to be a favourite.
He’s continued to coo this month; he seems to have lots to say and he will happily chat away to me for ages, especially post-feed. I can now tell the difference between his cries, and he likes to shout if I’ve gone too far away!
The memo that says how many hours sleep a day a newborn should have seems to have got lost somewhere, as he’s now awake for most of the daytime. Each night is different… Sometimes we can’t go 30 minutes without a feed, the best I’ve had is about three hours. I’m still breastfeeding, which I’m so proud of, but gosh, it’s tough at night! Especially as he’s still refusing to sleep in the crib for longer than 45 minutes to an hour…! Ewan the Dream Sheep needs a continuous mode.
I can’t get over how long Indy is; on last measurement at 8 weeks he was 61cm! He’s already in 3-6 month clothes due to his length…! At 7 weeks he was weighing in at 10lbs 8oz, and I definitely think he’s put on weight in the past few days as he’s starting to look pudgy.
Indy has started to bust some moves under his play gym this month, and has been trying to grab the toys. He’s also become fascinated by his feet!
