We’re very excited (and incredibly thankful) to be working with the Infant Sleep Consultants and Bubbaroo on the #BubbarooBabySleepDiary project. You can find all of our previous posts here.
Another good night from Indy – which makes that two nights in a row! Hurrah! I feel like we’re really getting somewhere with this night sleeping malarkey.
12-4.45am then 5.15-8am! Another good night #bubbaroobabysleepdiary

He hasn’t napped for more than 30 minutes all day however, which means he’s been awake 8am-8pm (barring the said nap)! He’s finally asleep on Nick now after a fair amount of screaming as he didn’t want to go in the sling… I’m going to call the doctors tomorrow and get an appointment for him next week to see whether they think he might have silent reflux – it really does feel like something is bothering him, but he’s had some lovely happy time today lying on his back, chatting to me. So if it is reflux would he be able tolerate being on his back at all? I need to make a list! I also checked in with Annie (our sleep consultant) today, who is happy with our progress. We’re going to spend another week continuing with the structured feeding to see whether it is still hunger, and then go from there. We’ve got a few instructions to keep us going over the next week, such as trying to lengthen out his morning waking “bassline” from the current average 3.30am to 4am, and then gradually to a reasonable time to be awake!
Day Eight: Friday 25th September
Indy had a bad night… his snuffles are getting worse.
He’s slept a fair amount today thankfully – and was very interested in our soft play adventure this afternoon!
Haven’t been able to get through to the doctors today, so will try next week.
Day Nine: Saturday 26th September
We raised Indy’s crib up on one side last night to see whether this would help his snuffles and possible reflux, and we had a fab long stretch!
Excellent night: 12-4.45am in crib, then he’s snoozed and cuddled in bed with me ever since #bubbaroobabysleepdiary

We also moved him out of the thin sleeping bag to a thicker one as he always likes to be on the warmer side… and as our heating is currently not working, I think this worked wonders for the times he’d usually wake in the night due to being chilly.
He’s been very cuddly today, which has been fine with me!
We went out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary this evening and left him with his grandparents. Apparently, he slept for about 30 minutes but woke himself up fidgeting.
Day Ten: Sunday 27th September
Another great night! Just in time for our wedding anniversary too!
Indy refused to sleep most of today. His nose has started to run a little, so fingers crossed this is the cold starting to make its way out.
Day Eleven: Monday 28th September
Awful night! So thankful I have some time out planned for today so I can rest…
Dreadful night with a baby v full of cold Slept on me for most of night. #bubbaroobabysleepdiary

Indy has been very snotty today. Nick said he napped just after lunch, but screamed all the way to pick me up from town… and was not happy in the car to visit Nick’s parents. He spent most of the time at Nick’s parents either wanting to feed on me or being fractious. We finally calmed him down when Nick put him in the sling when we got home. I think he might have been a bit overwhelmed as four hours is the most I’ve ever been away from him.
Day Twelve: Tuesday 29th September
Another bad night… I feel like all our good work has gone out the window since he contracted this cold.
He hasn’t particularly wanted food this morning, and as I type, I’ve finally got him to sleep in the sling after about 30 minutes of walking around. I’m going to take him out for a walk later in the new pushchair and hope he has a snooze in that too.
