Busby is already counting down the days until her third birthday! We were chatting about it the other day on the way home from Nursery; I told her that her birthday is in winter, (so it’s not quite time yet as it’s autumn!) she looked at me thoughtfully and said “Winter? When I can wear my woolly hat?” to which I nodded… so when we cracked the winter woollies out last week she asked me whether it was now winter and therefore her birthday! She’s got a very (worryingly) good memory!
I’ve been asked to make a butterfly cake for her birthday and it has to be a “chocolate cake, because I like chocolate”, so I’m perusing Pinterest for ideas already!
We’ve all enjoyed watching the Paddington movie together this month. Busby is getting better at sitting through a film, although I don’t think we’re quite ready for a cinema visit yet… In fact, Paddington has been the flavour of the month in lots of respects – from cuddly Paddington coming out and about with us (with Flopsy Bunny too, of course) to us repeatedly reading Paddington and the Tutti-frutti rainbow.
Busby is at a hilarious age and is coming out with some very amusing questions and thoughts. She has such a streak of mischief in her, and knows exactly when she’s being naughty. The sarcasm is also continuing!
She has continued to love being creative this month, with lots of pictures coming home from Nursery and she always requests to do “sticking” or “painting” when I ask her how she’d like to spend the day.
