Review // Sylvanian Families – The Bear Family
Sylvanian Families hold so much nostalgia for me; I remember spending endless hours playing with the different families I owned – coming up with stories, neatly organising the village shop, sailing the canal boat ‘down the river’. I was so excited when we were asked whether we’d be interested in collaborating with Sylvanian Families, as I couldn’t wait to introduce Busby to a slice of my childhood.
We were sent the Bear Family, which consists of Patrick, Margaret, Piers and Andromeda (officially) or Daddy, Mummy, Indy and Busby (unofficially). The Sylvanian Families website has a lovely back story for the Bear Family, but Busby has very much enjoyed creating their own tale.
Sylvanian Families are such high quality, beautifully made toys. I love that each bear comes with its own gorgeous little outfit, which can be taken off and changed as you wish.
One of my favourite things about Sylvanian Families is that you can purchase a multitude of accessories to go with them. From teeny bottles of pop to a variety of outfits, children (and let’s admit it, adults) can let their imaginations run wild! They provide hours of fun, and I’ve really enjoyed playing with Busby while she has created a little world. Indy has also been pretty curious about the small furry objects in Busby’s hand!
The Sylvanian Families Bear Family costs £17 and can be purchased for a number of retailers. You can find out more details of where to buy on the Sylvanian Families website.
I’ve asked my mum to hunt out my old canal boat in her loft, as well as any other accessories she can find! I can’t wait for our collection to keep on growing!
