What Busby Wore // Hatley (#1)

The lovely folk at Hatley sent Busby and Indy a box of wonderful clothing goodies to celebrate the opening of their brand new store in Chiswick; it’s their first ever store in the UK (having originated in Canada). Hatley aren’t unknown in the UK, however! You may recognise the name and distinctive style from independent boutiques and department stores.

Hatley are known for their gorgeous repetitive prints, and with so many designs there’s something for everyone (quite literally, as they do adult clothes too I recently discovered)! I was so excited to see what we’d be sent, and I was not disappointed!

The first outfit I’ll be showcasing is this gorgeous Field Flowers Pom Pom dress.

As regular readers will know, we’re not the biggest fans of pink, ‘girly’ clothes in our house, so this dress is perfect! The pattern of off-white flowers is beautiful, and I love the pink crocheted trim (a lovely little hint of girly!).

The colour of the dress is practical for a girl who loves exploring, and doesn’t have me in a panic every time something muddy (or containing red sauce) comes near! It’s not something I would send her to Nursery in, but at the same time, it’s more versatile than just an occasion dress.

The dress is made from 100% cotton and is fully lined. It’s ideal for Autumn/Winter.

I love the bubble hem at the base of the dress – it gives it such a lovely shape!hatley review

Hatley’s sizing is a little on the small size; Busby (who is 3 in December) is wearing size 4, which fits wonderfully, so I would advise buying up if in doubt.

The navy flower dress costs £28 and is available to buy on the Hatley website (or from their new store in Chiswick!).hatley review

OMG *RUNS TO CHISWICK* I had no idea they were opening a store. I also had no idea that they did such fabulous dresses!!! We have religiously bought Big Red’s raincoats from the brand since she was big enough to fit into them. Their prints are AMAZING!! I just wish they did little macs in Little Red sizes!! Lovely photos. I have total garden envy right now.

Lovely! I’ve always liked Hatley prints. We’ve bought quite a bit from them over the years. Coats are always good from them. I agree, it’s good to size up with Hatley. And that’s saying something because my boys usually wear a few sizes below their age!

    Thanks for hosting hon xx

It looks gorgeous – it’s just the sort of thing I used to like for my daughter! To be honest, she’s 9 now and we still like this sort of stuff even now 🙂
