Siblings // June 2016
And so we see a whole year of Siblings! Goodness!
I’m writing this very close to tears… what a year! I can’t believe H-Bear will be ONE next week. ONE?!?! I know it’s a cliché but the year has FLOWN!
This month has seen H-Bear walking unaided for the first time. There was much clapping and elation when he took his first steps, and then a little voice piped up: “Look Mummy and Daddy! I can walk too!”
H-Bear and Busby have enjoyed playing together this month; it’s been so lovely (and useful!) to be able to leave them playing while I get dinner ready or empty the dishwasher (the glamour of Motherhood). Busby can still be a little reluctant to share with H-Bear, and instantly wants anything he becomes interested in. H-Bear has started to get annoyed with her over this, and will now put up a fight if she tries to take it off him – I’m glad he’s starting to stand up for himself!
Busby is usually on the receiving end of the biggest smiles from H-Bear first thing in the morning, or when she gets home from Nursery. He is so fascinated by her and everything she does!
She loves to make him laugh by making up words and funny sentences… Nick and I are quite confused by this, but H-Bear finds it hysterical!
I can’t wait to see what the next year of Siblings brings; having two children and watching their sibling bond grow and develop really is the most beautiful thing to behold. We have our bad days and our difficult days, but I feel so lucky.
