What the Children Wore // Three Bears Threads

three bears threads reviewAs a children’s fashion addict, I’m always on the hunt for kids clothes that look awesome, but that are also practical for crawling, cruising, running, jumping, climbing… Phew! You get the idea! So when I was asked to choose the children an outfit each from Three Bears Threads I knew I’d be in safe hands – their philosophy is ‘Get dressed. Go play.’ after all!

The Three Bears Threads online shop is a glorious place to peruse – with one of my favourite US brands This Kids Clothing Co being stocked, as well as the divine KuKuKid (oooh those cactus joggers!). I had far too much fun looking for clothes, and found it so tough to choose; I could easily dress the children in every item – plus they stock clothes for adults too!

In the end I opted for these gorgeous panda leggings for Busby from Rocket & Rose (£18). Busby is rather panda-obsessed at the moment after watching Kung Fu Panda 3 on holiday (we haven’t seen the others yet), so she adores these and constantly requests to wear them (“You can wash them overnight Mummy, so I can wear them again tomorrow!”).

They’re super comfy to wear; very practical for running, jumping and scooting in, and she often wears them to gymnastics as they’re ideal for the class. We’re not a very pink household, but these are just the right amount of pink – plus the pandas rock!

Busby wears size 3-4 years in the leggings; they’re a great fit for now, but they’ve still got some growing room.

I also chose Busby this awesome hoody from This Kid Clothing Co (£22.50).

Busby is wearing age 4, and I love the over-sized look on her; she still has plenty of growing room too. The hoody is super soft (60% cotton, 40% polyester fleece), and she absolutely adores wearing it.

Everybody we meet comments on how gorgeous it is! And she loves having pockets to put all manner of treasures in!

For H-Bear, I opted for possibly the most amazing t-shirt I’ve ever seen!

It’s from This Kid Clothing Co (£17.50), and I’ve had my eye on it for months on the This Kid Instagram page but couldn’t justify the postage from the US, so I was over the moon to see that Three Bears Threads were stocking them!

H-Bear wears size 18 months, which is the perfect fit for him. The sizing is on the smaller side though, so I’d definitely size up.

He was having quite a bad teething day in these photos, so excuse the dribble patch!

I love the tongue-in-cheek slogan SO much, and I wish he could wear it every day as it never gets old. I will definitely be buying these in bigger sizes… probably until he can read and tells me off!

I also chose H-Bear a pair of Rocket & Rose Geo Fox leggings (£15) to go with his AMAZING t-shirt. I love leggings on boys, as they’re so much more comfortable and less restrictive than jeans! Plus they’re a lot more exciting than denim!

He’s wearing size 1-2 years, which are a great fit. I love the cuffs that can be rolled up at the bottom of the leggings; this makes them last that bit longer.

The print is so on trend, with beautiful geometric teepees and foxes! I love the colour too – it’s an almost blush, which works perfectly for a pair of unisex leggings.

I have been SO impressed with the gorgeous items that we have been sent from Three Bears Threads. The quality is fantastic, and the children look awesome! I will definitely be shopping from their fab shop again – and possibly treating myself to something too!

Love the T shirt, I’d seen it on instagram too and think it’s ace! Wonder what the in laws would think haha… I too think little people look funky in over sized hoodies, and ones with pockets would be right up Athenas Street (she’d fill them with small stones that I have to remember to fish out before washing!)
