H-Bear // 13 months
What a lovely month we’ve had with H-Bear! I can’t believe he’s 13 months old already. He seems to fall more in love with life with every month that passes; he’s such a happy chap.
We’ve spent most of the past month staying with my mum in Sussex. The children have been sharing a room, which was a successful experiment and not disastrous in the slightest! Yay! His walking improved so much in our time down there, and he now seems to be a pro on every surface.
While in Sussex, he became obsessed with my mum’s dog Basil; much to Basil’s dismay! Basil is 12 years old now, and quite grumpy, so he didn’t really appreciate a little person waddling after him all the time, nor continuously throwing toys at him in a strange H-Bear version of “Fetch”.
At 13 months, H-Bear:
- Still only has four teeth… Those canines are taking forever to come through!
- Can walk! And does walk everywhere!
- Has his first pair of real shoes – he was measured in Clarks and is size 4G.
- Will now sleep until at least 6am most days.
- Can point and makes a sounds like “yes” and “no”… Banana is “nana”, which is a frequent request.
At 13 months, H-Bear loves:
- Jam sandwiches… still!
- Vegan pizza from Zizzi.
- Brushing his teeth, and his toothbrush…
- Naps with Mummy.
We’re hoping to start H-Bear on the milk ladder in the next couple of weeks! He hasn’t been coping well in the heatwave, so we’re going to wait until his tummy has settled, but I’m praying that he’ll be able to eat dairy soon. However, we’ve been enjoying the Deliciously Ella book thanks to him! We even partook in a first baking session that included him, as all of the ingredients were H-Bear friendly. He LOVED licking the bowl out, so we’ll definitely be doing more!
Finally, to top off this month, H-Bear slept from 6.45pm-9.45am the other day. It was a bit of a miracle (understatement), and I’m not sure he could quite believe how long he’d slept for either! Just think, three months ago – the notion that he would even sleep through the night was laughable. I am SO thankful that his sleep has improved!
