What H-Bear Wore // Oranges & Lemons from Lil’ Cubs

lil cubs review

When H-Bear was a teeny person, we were lucky enough to be the first brand reps for the gorgeous online children’s shop Lil’ Cubs, run by Mama of two, Tabitha.

Tabitha was inspired to set up Lil’ Cubs as she desperately wanted to be at home with her two sons after being in a role where she was commuting daily. Her aim is to bring bright, bold, unisex clothing to babies and toddlers. Her products are all ones that she has found most useful as a Mama. For example, zip-up sleepsuits and huge muslin squares.

All of the items Lil’ Cubs sell are made super soft cotton.

Lil’ Cubs only use eco-friendly dyes, which mean that they’re super kind to the skin – and absolutely ideal for newborns!

We love these bright, vibrant prints; they’re wonderfully unisex! I’m also completely in love with the yellow feet – I wonder if they’re Louboutin-inspired? Such a gorgeous, different touch.

The concealed zip makes life a bit easier by not having to fiddle with poppers while baby squirms. I know this is something Nick appreciates in a sleepsuit! It also makes the sleepsuit look streamline and smart.

The sleepsuits wash well, although I have found that the dye fades slightly wash-after-wash. This is due to the eco-friendly dyes used.

Fitting wise, H-Bear wears age 12-18 months in this shoot. It’s perfect in length for him (he’s quite long) but has a little growing room elsewhere as he’s still quite petite body-mass wise.

We were also sent a beautiful rainbow swaddle muslin. I’m obsessed with muslin squares, and use them for everything (make-shift bibs and pram covers mostly!), and this one is HUGE (120cm x 120cm)! The rainbow colours are so bright, and I love the chevron pattern. Such fantastic quality too.

H-Bear and I made a little video this week to demonstrate how lovely the items are!:

The beautiful Oranges & Lemons sleepsuit costs £16 and the rainbow swaddle muslin costs £15. Both are available to buy from the Lil’ Cubs website.

Ooh I love this! I’m always looking for bright and beautiful clothing for my boys – I love stuff that isn’t blue as that’s all they seem to have at the moment so I’ll be heading over to have a little peek. Love that huge muslin too! x
