Siblings // August 2016
How is it the middle of August already…? Summer seems to be flying by far too quickly, and these two are growing up far too fast. Busby starts pre-school in September, which is not something I feel emotionally ready for quite yet!
This month’s photos were taken at Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) during one of our many summer holiday visits! Both children love visiting, and we love taking them – it’s perfect for munchkins who are desperate to run off energy as there is so much space.
I spotted this beautiful building a few visits ago, and have been itching to go in and explore with my camera and the children. It has the most perfect light for shooting, and I foresee a few What the Children Wore shoots being captured in here!
We’re staying down in Sussex with my mum again for the rest of the month, so these two are sharing a room once more. I’m very much looking forward to daily adventures and catching up with friends! It’s odd to go from doing nothing every day, to doing something every day, but it’s a very welcome change – and I much prefer being busy with the children.
If I had one word to sum up these two this month it would be adoration. Something has clicked, and they’ve realised that cuddles together rock! Cuddles are even better if they result in wrestling too… I think Busby is starting to appreciate having a playmate at home – although, not so much when H-Bear steals her toys and runs away with a very cheeky look on his face!
September will see lots of changes ahoy: Busby starts pre-school, and H-Bear will potentially be starting nursery one day a week, so I have another working day to get things done! I think it will do him good to socialise with babies his age on a regular basis, although I don’t quite feel ready to let him into the big wide world yet…
I know I say this every month – but time needs to slow down a bit!
