A few weeks ago the lovely folk at Debenhams got in touch and asked me whether I’d like to treat Nick to anything from their vast range of items. I replied (rather obviously) with a resounding yes!
Nick completely and utterly deserves to be spoilt. Not only is he such a wonderful, supportive husband – and one that grounds my romantic, creative personality – but he has been especially amazing over this summer. I’ve found our relocation to Yorkshire very tough; most of my friends and family are in Sussex, and I have no one local I can just call up to pop over for a cup of tea, or a play date. It’s very lonely, very isolating, and consequently, I rely on him a lot more than I did when we lived in Sussex.
Nonetheless, Nick has driven us up and down the country numerous times over the past few months so the children and I can stay with family, and is always there when I need to vent, or cry, or just require a calm, sensible mind. He understands how lonely and difficult I find our current location in Yorkshire, and is always willing to ferry us back and forth.
Basically, he’s awesome and I’m very lucky to have him.
Nick and I are having a bit of a health kick at the moment (prosecco aside) and have been trying lots of Deliciously Ella recipes. However, with Nick being the chef in the family, he’s been complaining that our current blender is on its last legs. I was hoping to buy a new one for his birthday in November, but this was the perfect answer.
Now, I know what you’re thinking “Why on earth is a blender a treat for him?” but I knew he would LOVE it and I wasn’t wrong! He was over the moon!
He’s had a whole week alone with the blender while we’ve been in Sussex, and has been whipping up smoothies for breakfast as well as using it for lots of other recipes! I’ve had daily WhatsApp messages with videos and photos, so it’s most definitely a hit!
A huge thanks to Debenhams for giving me the opportunity to treat my lovely Husband.
And a huge thanks to Nick for being such an amazing human being!
