Siblings // November 2016

How is it the middle of November already? How?! The past month has flown by!

I’ve been up and down the country so much this month for various commitments that I’ve felt a bit like an absent mother… I’ve missed these two so much, and I can’t wait to get stuck into festive activities over the next few weeks. I have many things planned; from mince pie baking, to decoration making, to hot chocolate and Christmas film watching.

These photos were taken over the weekend on a style shoot for Yorkshire childrenswear brand Bear & Babe (you can see the post here). It was probably the first time we’d been out together doing something other than errands, or the preschool run, since October… Life really takes over doesn’t it? It will only get more difficult next September when Busby starts big school, and I’m becoming more and more aware of that as the weeks fly past.

Busby and H-Bear absolutely adore each other, and she always runs out of preschool shouting his name with glee! They quarrel frequently whilst playing, but we have had a few longer stints of play (and silence) where they’ve happily got on without a grumble or a frustrated cry. I guess it can only keep getting better? Well, until H-Bear can also talk and then we’ll have: “It wasn’t me!”

They love to chase each other around the house – with Busby shouting “Come here you Stinky Scoundrel!” or “Follow me Sir!” (I have no idea where she’s got this from!) They find enjoyment in the most random of objects; this month’s favourite has been a wrapping paper tube where they’ve run circuits around the house holding on tight, until they get to the kitchen where H-Bear lets go and flies onto the floor/into cupboards… I feel like our first Yorkshire Minor Injuries trip might be imminent.

Life should start getting back to normal this week, so I’m very much looking forward to spending more time with these two again!

These are adorable photos, I love the colourful clothes! They sound so close. We have started now with the littlest speaking up for herself more and the eldest realising she can’t get away with blaming her anymore! It’s actually cute to watch!! x
