We are a family who need to be outside. The children love nothing more than jumping in puddles and exploring locations for dens. And both Nick and I always feel so much better when we’re out in the fresh air. So I knew New Zealand childrenswear brand Three Bags Full would be the perfect fit for our family.
Three Bags Full design and make their clothes ethically in New Zealand (but ship worldwide) from the softest New Zealand ZQ merino wool.
Merino wool is well known for being a magical, environmentally conscious fabric, and its unique temperature regulating properties make it perfect for children’s clothing.
We were sent two long-sleeved tops for the children to wear.
Busby’s top has a ‘Be Brave’ slogan on, which I found in the boys section of the Three Bags Full website. I think it is absolutely ideal for her, and it does make me sad that it’s only in the boys section on the website as it’s such a unisex sentiment.
Nonetheless, I love the apple green shade, and the arrows make it very on trend.
I’ve layered it with a Peter Pan collared top underneath, which looks really cute and makes it extra cosy.
H-Bear’s top has a tractor on and is ‘Storm Grey’. This top can be found in both the boys and girls sections of the website.
Both tops are incredibly lightweight, so don’t hinder on adventures.
He LOVES it – and continues to point out the wheels on the tractor or “trac-cor”.
Even though they’re made from wool, they’re machine washable (on a wool setting) which is obviously very useful for childrenswear! Especially my two explorers who love nothing than more than jumping in a muddy puddle!
I love how versatile the ‘Storm Grey’ shade is; it goes with so many of his clothes, and also makes a great layer for cooler days.
After chatting about sizes we decided to size up: Busby wears size 5, and H-Bear size 2. Both fit well, with room to grow.
The tops are cosy, and I love the cute designs – although I have found some of the girls tops to be rather gender stereotypical…
Prices vary from size to size: H-Bear’s tractor top is £28 and Busby’s ‘Be Brave’ top is £30. Both can be found on the Three Bags Full website.
