What Busby Wore // Pippa Pelo Hair Accessories
I have an admission to make: I am in love with everything Liberty… And thankfully so are quite a few amazing makers and designers, so Liberty of London prints are featuring in (and on) childrenswear and accessories everywhere at the moment. (Magnificent Stanley is a BIG favourite of mine… Becky is to blame for starting my love of Liberty).
A few weeks ago, I was contacted by the lovely Selena at Pippa Pelo, who asked me whether I’d be interested in featuring some of her divine Liberty hair accessories on my Instagram feed. Obviously I said yes – but they were too pretty to confine them to Instagram only, so I’ve decided to share them with you on this week’s What the Children Wore.
Selena started Pippa Pelo after creating hair accessories for her three daughters. She was inundated with compliments everywhere they went, so with a bit of encouragement from her family and friends, and inspired by the amazing Mum-Maker Revolution on Instagram, Pippa Pelo was born. Selena uses Liberty prints and soft leathers to make her gorgeous accessories, and business is going well; she’s recently been featured in Red Magazine!
Busby was sent four bows to wear:
Betsy Triple Bow in Orange and Yellow (£11)
The bow is made from Betsy Liberty of London fabric and you can choose from 5 different colourways.
It’s 3 inches wide, with a small crocodile clip attached at the back.
Capel G Mustard Hair Bow (£9)
This bow is probably my favourite, as it’s yellow… (I’m so predictable!) I keep threatening to pinch it.
It is 3 inches wide, with a small crocodile clip attached at the back.
Betsy Teal Hair Bow (£9)
I love the colours on this bow! It’s just so pretty and coordinates with lots of Busby’s wardrobe.
Once again, this bow is 3 inches wide, with a small crocodile clip attached at the back.
The final bow is the Genuine Leather Supersize Bow in Mocha (£23).
The supersize bow comes in four different colourways, including the very on-trend rose gold.
Now, I have to admit that Busby hasn’t worn this one yet as it’s really rather big (over 5 inches wide), and I’ve struggled to find an occasion for her to wear it, as it feels like a statement accessory. We have a few birthday parties coming up though, so I’m sure it will be gracing her hair soon.
Pippa Pelo hair accessories are gorgeous and I would definitely recommend them. They stay put in Busby’s hair and don’t irritate her, which is a huge win as she is known to be quite fussy. Their quality is amazing and continue to look great wear-after-wear!
As well as these beautiful bows, Selena has a selection of hairbands with Liberty bows on too – which are utterly divine! The bows with clips can also be used to jazz up shoes, which is a wonderful idea – especially for a special occasion, such as a wedding.
