What Busby Wore // The Princess and the Frock
I’ve admired The Princess and the Frock’s dresses from afar for a while now, but as I scrolled through Instagram on the train down to Sussex two weeks ago, this beautiful bee pinafore popped up on my feed… on sale. I deliberated for all of two seconds before I commented ‘SOLD’, as I knew it would be perfect for our very own buzzy Busby.
And I haven’t been disappointed. The dress is a beautiful, lightweight cotton – with a thin cotton lining in yellow. It’s ideal for warm summer days, but can be layered up with tights and a long sleeved top (I’m thinking Peter Pan collar) for cooler months.
The bee print is just wonderful! It’s so vibrant and fun – and Nick thinks the bees look like they’re from Hey Duggee (which is a favourite programme here at HQ).
The dress itself is beautifully made. Claire makes all of the dresses herself in the UK, and is clearly extremely talented because there’s such a stunning, wide selection of designs available.
Busby is wearing age 4-5 years which fits absolutely perfectly.
Sadly, Busby’s bee dress is no longer available to buy. But there are so many lovely designs that you’re bound to find at least five that you will love (the Beatrice is my favourite for obvious reasons! I also rather love the Luna… I could go on…). If you’re looking for a dress for a special occasion, or even for general wear, then pop on over to The Princess and the Frock website for a peruse.
